I bought the Battlestar Galactica season 2 boxset. Its DVD9, the special features are the same with R1. so its a good buy since its more cheaper than R1. I also bought Battlestar Galactica Razor. Can't wait to watch it.  |

Lumabas din ba ang season 1? Parang hindi ko nakita. They released the R2 version of Season 1 but in limited quantities @ P1,500. Hopefully they will release a local version (the same way they did with Las Vegas and House both originally released as imported R2 sets). Just hope it is the same as R1 since it includes the mini series. |

Thanks. Does it contain the entire Season 2? According to FLIM on a separate thread, NO. The Philippine-released "Season 2" is the equivalent of the the R1 "Season 2.0." The problem is... try talking to the Magna rep of the store, and they won't know what you're talking about when you tell them kalahati pa lang yan ng Season 2. "Hindi sir, buo na yan."  Hopefully Magna sees this thread and releases Season 2.5 soon. |

If you mean the DVD release, yes. But only the R1. I don't know if the local season 3 has been released here (yet, anyone just correct me if I'm wrong). |

According to the packaging, Season 1 is 13 episodes + the Mini-Series on 4 discs, while Season 3 is 5 discs. I seem to recall the local release of Season 2 was only 2 discs, so it was obviously incomplete.
Any chance of Season 2.5 being released locally?

hi chet. it's good to know you were able to get seasons 1 and 3 for only 500 bucks. i was there this afternoon at astrovision and the tag price of season 1 and 3 was 999.00. only season 2 was selling for 500. wonder why? if you know of any other store where they're selling it at 500 apiece, let me know k?

Not quite, but yes. They want to replicate a "documentary" feel so you'll see some very raw video from film stock. Then again, there are some really high contrast scenes where grain is unavoidable. |

Just take note that you'll have to order season 2.5 outside of the country since this is not available in the Philippines. Season 2.0 only has the first 10 episodes, it's supposed to go up to episode 20.

And if you're thinking about buying Razor, please note that it's been announced as included in the Season 4.0 R1 set, so you might end up with a duplicate in the future, if Magna copies the R1 release of 4.0. I guess that means Magna won't be releasing Season 4.5, either... |
