For those of you who own some Tagalog/Filipino DVD titles in your collection and wish to add it to your list in www.dvdaf.com, check this out! Smiley

DVD Aficionado have recently uploaded some Tagalog/Filipino (VIVA DVDs) titles in the site.  It's only a partial list and hopefully, we'll see the rest of the VIVA releases soon.  To see the complete list of Filipino title uploads, go to www.dvdaficionado.com and click dvdaf.foreign.filipino under the current dvdaf.* lists.

To give credit where credits are due, the dvdaf.foreign.filipino list was completed with reference to some of PinoyDVD members' postings in various threads particularly in this forum.  Special mention to BasketCase for initiating the "Complete List Of Pinoy Movies on DVD" thread which started the ball rolling. My pleasure, bubuyog. Smiley  I see you've got a couple of Viva titles.  Is Scorpio Nights 2 any good? Wink

Very helpful link bartmaniac, thanks!

By the way, how'd you know they refered to this site for some of the titles?

Thanks for the special mention.

You deserve it, BasketCase. Cheesy

Glad you find it useful. Smiley

It's because I maintain the dvdaf.foreign.filipino list in DVD Aficionado, BasketCase. Smiley

You're the one who maintains the Pinoy list? Kudos to you dude! How'd you get the gig? And how come you're not mentioned in DVD Aficionado's first page like the other guys who maintain dvdaf.* lists? Unfair yon ah.

Thanks BasketCase.  I've started by making an 'unofficial' dvdaf list of Pinoy DVDs (the imported ones directed by Eddie Romero, Cirio Santiago etc).  When I submitted the Viva titles for addition on the dvdaf database, the webmaster notified me that he was adding the account in the dvdaf.* listing in the front page.

Ed (the webmaster/owner) actually asked for my username for display but I begged-off. I didn't want a clickable username there since my own DVD 'collection' isn't really worthy of 'bragging'. Grin  Check out the other dvdaf.* listers there and you'll see Shocked what I mean. Grin

No I don't see what you mean.  Smiley

I checked out the other lists, and the only difference is the number of DVDs the other guys have, which is not your fault. I still say you deserve to be mentioned there. Anyway, thanks again.

That's what I meant exactly.  Likewise, I didn't find it as a fault, it's just that I prefer the anonimity.  Roll Eyes

As far as credit goes in coming up with a Pinoy dvdaf list, I believe that a number of PinoyDVD members shares the credit too.  It has always been a joint effort with the members of this community.  The list wouldn't have been as comprehensive hadn't it been for their valuable leads and info about Pinoy DVD releases.  For that, I sincerely cannot take sole credit. Wink

Nevertheless, thanks for the kind words, BasketCase. Smiley

ßa®tmaniac

I updated my DVD Aficionado list but I can't find the Judy Ann Santos DVD of Kahit Isang Saglit/Bakit Di Totohanin to import.

Is it possible that you miss this one or is it listed a different way?

Thanks Bartmaniac.

I notice that not too many members own pinoy movies. For example, I search for a Sharon Cuneta movie Madrasta and see "who's got it" and it only showed 2 people, a Nora Aunor movie Bilangin ang Bituin, also two people. Even Regine Velasquez' Dahil May Isang Ikaw, only 10 people.

Compare that to say, Lord of the Rings Two Towers, a new release, and already thousands of owners.

Is it because they don't have too many pinoy members?

That's true.

Many members of PinoyDVD maintain a list in DVDAficionado.com.  It's just that most don't have any Tagalog DVD in their collection (yet).

That day has yet to come. Smiley
