To me? Not. But 90% of my DVDs are R1. Sometimes i even find the R3 with better sound reproduction in Low Frequency... but thats me.  Wink

before i noticed the difference ...

1. R3 medyo grainy video vs  R1's
2. R3 audio tends to have loud special effects sounds / music and weak vocal volume ..... R1 is balanced

ewan ko lang kung ganun pa rin nowadays ...... i think ganun pa din .... last time i bought Constantine R3 .... naka heram ako R1 na Constantine ...... iba ang ganda visually ng R1 IMHO Smiley

Hi sir,...

Kahit ang player lang ang multi-system, it should work perfectly...

I tested a DVD from Dubai, R2 ang region code niya, played on my NTSC TV with a multi system player...

Cheers...

Hmmm. Dapat meron sa spec sheet. Pero sa settings pwede baguhin yun. Dati kasi yung Pioneer ko pwede sa i-set sa PAL or NTSC or ATUO.

Generally, it doesn't matter to me if it's R1, R2 or R3.  I always go for the fully-loaded ones with better looking cover art/packaging, and the version/release with better PQ and AQ.  But I do prefer other regions - particularly R1s - over locally produced R3s mainly due to its superior packaging.   Although, I find that packaging of Korean R3s can sometimes rival, if not surpass, that of other regions.  Grin

sa sound lang ata sir me difference

hi sir anya, meron difference sa sound but it's between R1 & R2. I got before Black Hawk Down both originals, when I compared the same chapter all ambiance/ background effects were completely gone. I think the audio bandwith was compressed to accomodate the additional multi-language subtitles, whereas only spanish  sub. in R1. Cheesy

I'd prefer region 1 than region 3. Better packaging and minsan mas marami pa disc included..

well, in my case 95% of my dvds are r3, 5% very few are r1.. and my home theatre is r3 locked. so i deal with r3, which i'm very happy with, i also don't mind having r1 discs kasi i have i multisystem 'cheap' dvd player also.

It doesn't Matter to me if R1 or R3, specially if I really want to watch that dvd and I can't wait for the shipping time upon ordering online.

Mas mahal ang R1, but the quality is topnotch,
I did post before about some negative experiences sa mga R3 releases,
nakakasama lang ng loob kapag naririnig mo ang audio nya at 2.0 lang,
or the video na akala mo VCD ang picture quality,
nadala na akong bumili ng R3, unless naka-indicate na import sya...

On the R2 naman, hindi naman lahat ay maganda, kaya the safest and best choice talaga ay R1 still...

Cheers,
