There is a steelbook edition of Watchmen (Germany) on DVD.  I'm not sure if they will release a BD steelbook as well.

Also waiting to see if they will release a U.S. SteelBook.

I guess it's really plastic. Obviously, it would be much more expensive if it's metal.

Yup, it's plastic. Having both the the Alien & I Robot head, I simply can't resist to add another "head" into my collections...

It's huge...a 14" endoskull, with sound effect & red glowing eyes (battery inclusive).

Wow!  thanks for the info!  I might just get these instead of the harry potter MM exclusives.  They ARE indeed pricey.  No artworks yet for all these steelbooks and there's not much information except for the release date and the price so it's hard to tell if it's similar to the MM steelbook releases.

Will definitely keep an eye on these.  Naku gastos na naman by september.  *hikbi*

Best buy does not have those Bond steelbooks anymore. Na -ubos na yata since they are collectors items. They just have the regular and the box sets.
