O yes! Yes! Yes!  Grin

After going to the CD/DVD Fever Sale in Quezon Ave., I'll be proceeding to Trinoma. Buti na lang wala ang bosing. Hehehe!

Would you happen to know if the newer titles will be included in the sale? (I Am Legend, Beowulf, Sweeney Todd, Batman - Gotham Knight)

Thanks!

Isn't this the one on the top floor near the arcade and big sports shop?  I just usually go to the top floor, see those well lit video games and to the right is the video store Grin

As low as Php125 for single DVDs (Brave One, The Assassination of Jesse James, Invasion, etc.) and Php199 for 2-disc releases and SEs (like hopefully, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix).

New titles like I Am Legend and Gotham Knight won't be included BUT the Beowulf Collectors Set will be reduced from Php1,250 to Php450.

TV sets still under discussion but they'll probably be discounted as well. I'll keep you posted.

450 for that overpriced Beowulf Collector's Set is good enough for me.  Cheesy

How about the Stanley Kubrick SE's?

Darn it! Why does all these sales happen on the same month! I've already exhausted my DVD budget for this month on the Magnavision sale.  :'(

Yey! Thanks!

Isn't Warner re-stocking for this sale? Or do we have to fight over Astro Trinoma's stocks. If it's the latter, then I guess it's time again to work my charms  Wink

Lipat-lipat lang naman yata iyan, especially with Magnavision, the inventory is more or less similar, the same with prices.

This Warner Sale, does seem to have a few first-time-on-sale genuine bargains.  That Beowulf with Notebook that I bought for 1250, just got depreciated over 60%!  Many TV series boxset should also be marked down, Warner often does...

Ah okay. I think this will be just outside The Landmark, where Viva once held a sale.

The bad thing about this is, I can't reserve (since I'm a suki in Astro Trinoma).

The good thing is, we don't have to fight over the measly stocks of Astro Trinoma.

Thanks for the heads up!  Cheesy

Got another update from Warner: while catalog/classic/SE 2-disc titles are at Php199, 2007's "tentpole" 2-disc releases like Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Troy SE (Director's Cut) will be Php275 each. Beowulf and Appleseed: Ex Machina will be marked down to Php350.

Hello!

Check your Warner Titles before plunging and buying their titles; so far,
the ones in my collection that suffered from DVD rot are Warner titles, the most common of which is Superman:The Movie, and recently, I discovered Swordfish also suffered the same fate,
so far I'm still lucky with my other Warner acquisitions that came in with both the full screen and widescreen versions, since at times only one version had a DVD rot,and the other is still decryptable, and I was able to make a back-up.
So far the ones that came from Viva & Magnavision, are still being monitored for possible DVD rot, and luckily too,the other notoriously reported expensive but defective Cirterion "Seven Samurai" is still working.
My regret is that the ones that suffered from DVD rot are the ones that I bought long ago, when the dvds were still at premium prices much like the Blu ray nowadays, and the ones that came from the sale are still intact....I hope....maybe until the next 6 months. :'(

Anyway...Beware. Shocked Embarrassed Tongue

Got back from the sale. Some of the prices quoted by firewired did not materialize, such as the Beowulf Collector's Edition (Php 525 against the reported Php 450) and the remastered Kubricks (Php 275 for the two-discers Eyes Wide Shut, The Shining and 2001: A Space Odyssey versus the reported Php 199).

Good deals include:
Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix (2-Disc Special Edition, slipcased) - Php 275; Php 350 I think for the one with the leather journal
Band of Brothers (Steelcase) - Php 799
Appleseed: Ex Machina (2-Disc Special Edition) - Php 350
Beowulf (2-Disc Special Edition, Theatrical Version) - Php 350
Troy (2-Disc Director's Cut) - Php 275
Blade Runner (2-Disc The Final Cut)  - Php 350
Letters of Iwo Jima / Flags of our Fathers (3-Disc Set) - Php 499
Most TV series boxsets - Php 799
Most slipcased 2-Disc Special Edition classics - Php 125, Php 150 or Php 199

I got the following:
Giant (3-Disc Special Edition) - Php 275
Eyes Wide Shut (2-Disc Special Edition) - Php 275
Brigadoon - Php 125
Gods & Generals - Php 125
The Reaping - Php 125
Dial "M" For Murder - Php 125
Clash of the Titans - Php 125
No Reservations - Php 125
The Right Stuff (2-Disc Special Edition) - Php 125
Taking Lives (Unrated Edition)  - Php 125
Nancy Drew - Php 125

Some of the prices of the titles I bought are different from the price indicated on their price tags. I guess the cashier makes extra deductions if you buy plenty.
