im currently using a panasonic home theater model sc pt465. if i were to get a standalone blu-ray player/or nmt, the only audio connection i can use is thru the optical out/in of the bluray player/nmt and the htib. but since ONLY DOLBY DIGITAL & PCM can be played with this connection, i think there will be no sound IF the bluray format is in DTS. ano options ko? i dont intend to get a separate 5.1 just to get this to work since kakabili ko lang din ng htib. anyone sharing the same problem?  Smiley

Yung HTIB mo, yung speakers naka-connect sa DVD player or may separate amplifier/receiver?

I'm not sure if there are BD titles that are in DTS only format, well except for DTS samplers maybe. Cheesy I think basta may input connections, pwede mo sya kabitan.

Some FOX, New Line Cinema and Universal titles are DTS only.  Embarrassed There are some BD players that can decode internally DTS. I am not sure how it will come out on your HTIB via optical. Usually this feature is meant for seperate amplifier/receiver analog inputs. HTIBs are rather very limited in what you can plug in... Tongue

We have the same htib model (kasi ikaw nangdemonyo sa aking bumili rin ako) anyway Ive been using my PS3 as a Blu ray player and the PS3 is connected to the htib thru optical.so far no problems yet regarding audio, but ofcourse I only have a handful BD collection and this is the first time Ive learned that there are DTS only format Sad

The Wii is not 5.1 compatible but using the htib with it, the wii actually decodes the sound using the red and white analog to make it surround.try playing wiisport tennis and you can hear the rear speakers
