Modified:

Reservations for the Batpod and Relief Mask Edition DVD's will start tomorrow, November 15 until December 6. A reservation costs Php 200. The Batpod Edition costs Php 2750, while the Mask Relief Edition costs Php 1575. Only 470 copies of the Batpod Edition will be available and it is exclusive to select Astrovision and Astroplus stores. 1000 copies of the Mask Relief Edition will be available nationwide. This is what I saw in the Warner memo:

I finally saw on the net how the mask and the gift set will look like.

Hoping these will reach our shores.

No info yet about other editions (steelcase, standard double disc, single disc and Blu-Ray).

On the Warner memo sheet it says DVD. I even asked if they had a Blu-Ray edition coming out but no news.

Here's a closer look at the edition:

Unlike the packaging for the Blu-Ray Batpod Edition, this one says "The Dark Knight DVD set collectible" on the lower left corner.

Sabi 2700 daw yun batpod edition.  Pay 200 then the balance would be 2500.

Oh really? That's gooood....  Grin Roll Eyes Grin

Warner should give first priority in pre-ordering to everyone they screwed over in the "Harry Potter" reservation scheme of Astrovision that they royally screwed up, where they told customers who reserved the version with the journal weeks in advance that the journal was not released, when people could plainly see the version with the journal in SM record bars and Odyssey branches.

Whoever was responsible for that fiasco where the copies were improperly allocated despite weeks of pre-booking should've been made to join "Melanie" in her new job.

Then again, it's easier to forgive internally than externally, huh?  Roll Eyes

Ang basa ko naman sa Warner memo is Php 2500. Pay Php 200 to reserve, so the balance would be Php 2300.

I actually joked about this to the Warner rep. I told her that I hope the "Dark Knight" reservation wouldn't follow the "Order of the Phoenix" fiasco.

I saw the memo and it said P2700. I reserved today and got the claim coupon. P2500 when I pick it up.

Wonder how they record the number preordered, there is no preorder sheet unlike Magnavision.  Only the receipt (P200 reservation) and the coupon.   Will individual Astro report the numbers or what, what if the number of preorder exceed 470?

And it looks like the batpod will be gone before release date but the mask probably will not, or will it?

Astro RP Ermita/Manila had a pre-order sheet that I signed along with my contact details and the edition I ordered. That's plus the coupon voucher and receipt.

Baka wala pa sign-up sheet available. I'm sure they'll transfer the receipt details once they get their sheet together  Grin (sorry, couldn't resist)  Grin

And it looks like the batpod will be gone before release date but the mask probably will not, or will it?

From what I remember on the memo, there are 470 batpod and 1000 bat mask cases. could be wrong, though, since I just glanced at it quickly. What's sure is the "400" or plus number for the batpods since that's the number they kept repeating to me since yesterday.

Went to Astrovison Virra Mall, they also have a reservation for the batpod and the mask.

Its a bit weird, since when I asked the rep, she told me that the price of the batpod is 2750. Less 200 then it will be 2550.

And she also said, limited release lang daw for batpod ang bat mask version.

As for the regular 2 disc price, it will be for 895 according to the rep

Oh well, demand and supply. Warner probably knew that even if they price it to the moon, the 470 batpod will sell out before release... the mask version is another matter...

The initial fax shown to me by the Warner rep says that the Batpod will be priced at Php 2500, less Php 200 after paying the reservation fee. When I came back today, it's already Php 2750.

Anyway, the Batpod is apparently made of metal, according to the Warner rep. And the promo stand shows this (DVD, not Blu-Ray):

instead of this:

Yikes! The discs are separated from the pod?  The latter would have been great.  Sad

It looks like there's a slit on the base where the DVD case can be mounted. But yeah, I also prefer the Batpod in my original post.
