Hello Brothers - I'm newbie here.. Just want to know,,, do I need to buy an original HD-DVD movies just to see the true HD of my LCD and HE? I tried to play pirated but not HD I expected..Sometimes snowy sometimes has visible pixels... My LCD is native 728P full hdmi and my player also hdmi capable and already benn connected with a HDMI cable....

yup, but since hddvd is now officially phased out by toshiba. if you want to go hd, you can start with bluray. so you need the player and the bluray discs.

what you have is a dvd player that can upscale standard dvd to the resolution of your panel. i suggest you set your player close to your panel's native resolution. so in your case it should be 720p.

the snowy and visible pixelation you are seeing will mostly because of the copy of dvd you are watching. jack sparrows (p***ted) sometimes have bad encode. also don't let those cases of jack sparrows that says its bluray fool you, officially there are still no disc based jack sparrow material of blurays yet in the market.

Media Players that play ripped/pirated HD copies from bluray or HD DVD.
