This was released today, December 3. It's a 2-Disc Collector's Edition in a very nice 3-D box.

Artwork similar to the one below, but in 3-D (like a little cardboard diorama):

very tempting and all, but very wary too at getting it at the same time because of the eventual extended edition coming out in the near future.

Here it is, sort of. The scan doesn't do it justice, but the characters and background are at 4 different levels:

Are the characters printed on plastic transparency, or are their faces, like, cut out, so there's a risk that they can be folded and creased if mishandled?

Prince Caspian is printed on the box itself, then all the characters behind him are cut-outs, but they're all sealed behind a thick plastic layer. My concern is how they were stuck in their different levels - I can't figure it out, but if they come loose, they'll be floating around under the plastic layer.

this looks like a truncated cut. It's just a little over half an hour long! That's what printed on the glossy slipcase.

It's a typo, of course. Wink

Ah okay. I saw this already. Similar to what Viva did with the High School Musical box set.

Will wait for the eventual price drop.

This movie is waay better than the first! more action scenes and great CGIs! I don't think its a rip-off of LOTR esp the scenes where the trees joined in the fighting bec in Narnia, all animals and plants can move and talk(for the animals) like humans

Saw this awhile ago, impressive packaging, but still didn't entice me to buy one. Will probably wait for the Christmas sale which is just around the corner.

I bought it when i saw that the two disk edition was becoming quite scarce. I actually only see that each store only has one or two copies of this edition.

It's quite scarce in Astro stores, but in other video shops (Landmark & SM record bars and Odyssey), there are numerous copies.

I got my copy at Landmark Trinoma and it was the last one. I had no intention of buying it at P750. However, i have noticed that the Little Mermaid dvd with similar packaging was being restocked with ones that didn't have the packaging. Also, I saw that they came up with versions of Prince Caspian that were single disc. Anyway, the price is reasonable for what we get.

I saw the 2-disc ed. at Odyssey ATC last Monday but decided not to buy it at that time.  I checked it out today at both Astro and Odyssey Festival and the 2-disc was already out of stock. All they have is the single disc.  I did get my 2-disc copy at the Viva stall near Wendy's (Festival Mall).  I got the last one.  Grin

The 2-disc slipcase of this release, is the one time when the R3 case trumps R1.  R1 slipcase should still look sharper but R3 is more unique.  This has the potential of becoming hard-to-find before it reaches the bargain bin UNLESS Viva decided to print some more, then it would lose its appeal...

since it's a Viva release, your best bet of finding the 2-disc with slipcase is Video City.. they had more than 10 a week ago at Megamall and earlier today, Video City SM North still had plenty of copies..
