Deathproof is a C-Interactive release, right?
Yup, but C Interactive's releases have gotten a lot better (ie most are DVD9s), so unlike Viva Foolscreens, I don't think it's warrant a 'warning' tag anymore...

Death Proof is released by C-Interactive as a double-disc edition.

C's release of Planet Terror is actually quite good. The company's releases have greatly improved.

It's hard to tell, these days. The April Fool's Day & The Lodger I posted above have the old yellow Magna "Budget Edition 475" stickers, BUT these are actually FULL IMPORT PRODUCTS - with back-to-back high-quality printed covers that do not have the MTRCB logo incorporated into the design... unlike the recent locally printed color-bleeding covers/slipcases of Magna's blockbuster releases (The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Eagle Eye, etc.).

Weird that B-Movies are actually being released in better quality editions than blockbusters.

I think the budget sticker doesn't mean it's 'budget' now.  It's just that Magna didn't print new stickers and it's just conveys the 475 price point.  Their new 'budget' line is I think 375 or something.

Infinite Playlist has both the budget sticker and Imported sticker.  And it's a full import product.  DVD9.  It should have the extras...

Actually, those are standard Magnavision prices, although they did release a few newer titles at a slightly lower price point.  (The old) Warner prices are almost the same na rin (TDK 2-disc was 895), so I don't expect that to change...

C-Interactive release?

3 of the 4 new releases I posted today (Space Buddies is from Viva) are C Interactive releases.  But don't let that deter you if you are in anyway interested in the film.  New C interactive releases are quite good and most are DVD9 with full features (including DTS on selected titles). The days when C Interactive discs are DVD5s and will play only on select players are long past (although those older titles are still on store shelves). What you should be wary of are those from Star Records (Fullscreen), Solar (DVD5), and Viva 375 budget line (DVD5, mostly fullscreen).

Yup that was my point...standard Magna prices to be implemented for future Warner titles.  Single disc Warner titles were either 475 or 550.  So I surmise it would be up to 595 now.  As for 2disc titles, I always assumed the 895 price point for The Dark Knight was more of an exception than a rule since it's a high profile release.

Earth Story:

SM Manila. Should be available everywhere soon. 2-discs.  8-episodes.  I already owned the R2, so didn't buy it.  I like it better that Dr. Stewart copycat update Earth - The Biography (also BBC).
