I was watching a DVD movie on my PC but at different times it would just freeze up. I would have to press the windows key just to get to my desktop and quit Powerdvd. Is there something wrong with my PC or is it the DVD? I watched movies on my PC before and they were fine. Thanks in advance.

Does it happen on all your DVDs? Try reinstalling Powerdvd.

Copy or Rip first the DVD into HDD then play using powerDVD software.
Minsan sablay talaga yung drive kapag matagal na siya nag reread ng disc.
if the movies is 2 hrs. 2 hrs din yun mag reread. If you copy to HDD is about
20 to 30mins lang...then sa HDD na siya mag play...

I think I'm alright now. I watched another movie with powerdvd and it was ok. Then I watched the movie that froze on me and a few minutes into the scene where I left off it still froze. So I watched it on VLC player and it played fined. I guess powerdvd has problems with Indiana Jones Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull Cheesy
