Hello!

I am also disappointed with this DVD. I'm really not a fan of Twilight and it's other books; it's my wife who's hooked into this.

She was the one who bought the DVD, yun 750pesos pa. For its price, there should have been, at least, subtitles. Then it's grainy and no Audio option. Such a waste!  Angry

Next time my wife buys a DVD, I told her to seek blanket approval from me first...Haha! Just kidding!  Wink

im already a fan of the story even before a movie deal was in the works with hollywood. but the movie story was crap. too shallow ang characters.

at any case, i wanted to get the DVD sana, pero 750 pesos for a viva even if it is in widescreen, i would not. kasi alam na nating lahat na hit or miss ang quality ng VIVA eh. pano pa kaya yung mga later movies na lalabas under VIVA? like yung ngayon IPman? ampz!

pag bumaba ito ng 99 pesos, i guess bibilhin ko ito para gift ko sa pamangkin ko, 1 peso more, forget it!

damn you viva. you produce crappy local movies, pati sa pag distribute ng foreign movies into DVDs ganun din. it reflects nga naman sa pagtitipid ninyo

i saw twilight at astrovision just this week.

when i saw the copy, i immediately noticed the viva logo and asked the sales girl if they have a non-viva copy. she said, viva lang daw nag release. kukunin ko na sana but glad that she did tell me na walang subtitle. so i said hindi ko na lang kukunin. dagdag pa niya, kahit sa US release daw walang subtitle. at kaya daw walang subtitle dahil lalong mamahal daw ang dvd at baka abutin ng PhP1,500. sabi ko, wala namang problema kung PhP1,500 ang presyo.

so i went into a little investigation.

someone at the office had a copy. i viewed and holy crap! pi talaga ang quality! 4 x 3 pa. at 2 channel lang ang audio?

well, having said that, i checked the underground. and guess what? mas maganda pa ang quality dun. wide screen na, may tamang subtitle pa.

this is the reason why many of us would rather buy abroad than buy locally because the choices given to us are nothing better than crap copies.

you guys can also inform viva of your disappointments buy sending them a message at:

in the end, i had to email viva. i just hope that the link i posted earlier would accept my email.

just a copy so you would know:

The local release of Twilight on DVD was a very big disappointment:

No Subtitles
Full Screen
2.0 audio
Very low video quality (not good enough to be considered as DVD quality)

I was interested in buying this DVD as all of my DVDs are original copies, but after seeing its content, I decided not too, at least locally. Once I have enough money again, I would rather buy at Amazon than buy any DVD released by Viva.

If not for crappy content, some of your DVDs which I already have, have mispelled words in their jackets. This is disappointing considering Viva is one of the major companies in the business who release DVDs and yet, the products that you sell are not even good enough for the money that we pay.

It's a shame that many of us who have always supported original DVDs are left with no choice but to buy abroad or to an extent support sources with better quality and content than what you release.

I hope next time, Viva would improve the choices that the customers could choose from because in the end, what you release become your product and an unhappy customer is less likely to return.

Crap. This is pure CRAP. VIVA IS CRAP!!! Aaaargh!!!

Pwede kayang isoli ito? Anyone here had an experience returning this crappy Twilight DVD? I can't even beieve iva sells mono audio in their DVD releases! Even with no subtitles! Highway robbery talaga!
I've beed had!!!

Btw, Magnavision na ang distributor ng lahat ng Warner Home Videos.

I strongly suggest we boycot all Viva releases and heck dapat isumbong natin to sa original video owners that iva is releasing crappy DVDs. Malamang VCD lang lisensya nila pero ginaan pa din nila ng DVD patago.

wow was'nt that a bit harsh.

hehe well, opinion ko lang naman po ito  Grin but it's true, viva doesnt make great local movies nowadays. production value is quite of low quality & it reflects on how they they produce DVDs. but that is another story  Wink
