I saw the DVD for it yesterday and... it was so bad!
This was released by C-interactive. I noticed that they have a new logo, too

The print was similar to earlier titles from C-interactive, and the size is a bit too small for the case. I tell you, it looks so bad! And it's DVD-5. And the two biggest disappointments were:

1. It looks like the 3D version's not included, and;
2. The price is P550!

Who would buy that for P550?! It looks like a you-know-what copy!

very, very disappointing, C-Interactive  Angry

Is it really DVD5?  I thought C-Interactive finally moved on all their titles to imported DVD9.  If it is...it's disappointing to say the least.

Saw it here in Odyssey Cabanatuan,

DVD5 indeed, ang sama ng PQ ng ipa-demo sa sales lady,
I wonder, wala kayang mga representatives ang mga studios
na yan ang nagbabasa sa mga forums like PDVD, to somehow hear
our complaints and suggestions, if they want to compete with the Jack Sparrows
pricewise should become competitive but without sacrificing the quality of the contents,
nakakalungkot,... such materials are pushing away good costumers and collectors,...

It's weird for C-Interactive to revert back to its old practice of using DVD5 discs. They've been doing great for the past year already, releasing new imported or local DVD9's that are cheaper than other distributors. Such a shame.

Why is it DVD5?

Because the source fits.  The US (R1) version is dual-sided with one side carrying the 3D version, and the other side containing both the fullscreen and widescreen version. Strip out the fullscreen version and it will probably fit on a DVD5.

They did that with 'The Nativity Story' where instead of two-versions on a DVD9, they split the fullscreen and widescreen version into separate DVD5s (they weren't into DVD9 then).   With this one, they junk the fullscreen altogether (wise move), but also didn't include the 3D version (stupid move).

Guys, just saw this today at Astro. A 2-Disc version of the film has been released, with the 3D version as the second disc. It comes with four pairs of 3D glasses.

Php 375 lang!  Grin

I bought it last night. The first DVD I bought in a month, I think.  Grin

Four ba yung glasses? Kala ko 2 lang. I haven't removed them from their plastic wrapping kasi.

Now I'm waiting for The Final Destination 3D  DVD to go down to Php375.

Ako rin! But I need to clarify: in stores. I went on a regalfilms.com direct purchase binge recently to get my long sought after 1980s classics which aren't available locally.  Grin

The 3D version is the cheap and easy way to get those red-and-green glasses.  I think there were quite a few who are looking for (where to buy) them some time ago...

Any type of TV will do. Make sure it's Disc 2 that you'll play. Also choose the 3D version if prompted in the screen menu.

The 3D effect of these old red-and-green (or red-and-blue) glasses varies from person to person.  They are not as effective as the new polarized glasses version seen in theaters, for those you need new LED TV, new (or new firmware for supported) Bluray Players, new expensive glasses, and new Bluray discs.

HDMI and Composite video usage is more effective in 3D effect rather than the ordinary Video cables...

Sayang! Bumili na ko last year ng 2D nito, yung P550! I'll sell that so I can buy this. napaka mura! Kainis, I should have thought na mag mamark down yung new titles soon enough. I bought them from their original prices. Sad
