If it has one year warranty, then it would be at par to the branded ones. It would be well worth to take the risk.

If one really wants to take the risk of losing 14k-15k ok lang siguro, but with my experience with CDR-king, dagdag na lang siguro ako ng konti for an LG or samsung... sale pa naman sa Abenson. :)

Dami ko nabili sa cdrking na sira na after ilang months lang.. even the inverter that I bought from them.

don't throw the box away, di tatanggapin ng CDR King yan kung wala yung box and everything... ano kaya gagawin nila sa packaging... or way lang ito para mahirapan ang client nila mag-return ng items...

I really believe that the people who bought this are very happy with their purchase as these are not your typical pdvd consumers.  They're probably not looking at contrast ratios, color saturation, HD video support via USB, response rate, etc.

Masaya sila kasi nakabili sila ng fairly large tv na LCD na mura with their hard-earned money.  More power to them.

^ very true.

Many people are oblivious to picture quality.
They're simply wow'd that they already have a LCD  ::)

Does anybody know what kind of panel does CD-R King use?
Cguro it comes from the same manufacturer as the changhong & Coby LCD's

I am actually thinking of getting one. Parang ok yung 18.5".
Title: Re: CDrKing LCD Tv...
Post by: DonMiguel85 on Nov 09, 2010 at 10:33 PM
These are probably low-grade panels and I wouldn't be surprised if there's quite a few dead/stuck pixels. 5000:1 contrast ratio is also pretty low, most other entry-level sets start at 15,000:1 nowadays.
Title: Re: CDrKing LCD Tv...

Totally agree, and I guess it would also apply for regular pdvd members requiring extra tv units  ... we do not really watch HD movies all the time ... 5-10k price difference is substantial savings

i just hope the people who will buy this unit doesn't get screwed over for their hard earned money. magbigay man lang ng maayos na after sales service ang cdr king

it's hard to trust their line of products when lots of your purchase from them bugged down after just a coupe of weeks...much more on this 14-15K item..

better think twice, imho.

I was at cdr king today to get some stuff and saw there 22" and 32".

They said it comes with 1 year service warranty and 1 month replacement warranty.

This is a bit OT but since we are talking about cdrking.

So I got an imation headset for 150. I asked the warranty she said 3 months. Then I paid for it. She told me "sir wala pang sukli sandali lang  po" 15 minutes had passed

The the conversation went like this:
HD "may nagpabarya ba?
(then a few customers also waiting for there change joined me in the discussion and the cashier then started to panic and asked if anyone in their staff had change.
HD: teka sabi mo 3 months 3 times kita tinanong
Saleslady: 1 month lang
HD: miss 2 strikes ka na

So hmmm do you think CDR king will really adhere to their 1 year service warranty for LCD tvs and 1 month replacement?? Go figure. ;D

I don't know the "build" quality of this little T.V, but the picture quality was not as bad as I thought it would be.

My staff went out and purchased this T.V along with a PS3 so they could swing at something during break hours. I didn't really get to spend so much time looking at the CDRking LCD, but as far back as I can remember, it even fares better than the old Samsung S7 LCD.

Perhaps if there is a "substantial" interest, then we may just have to look at it again.

P5,900 na lang yung 18.5 in na LCDTV.

Even with all the negativity here, I finally bought their P5,900 18.5 in na LCDTV (btw, this is already an LCD TV and not just a monitor). I placed it in the kitchen). My mom actually spends more time now in the kitchen watching her favorite soap with our kasambahays  ;D (she has her own Panny 32" LCD TV in her room).

When I was inside the CDR store in UP AYALA Technohub, i was actually impresssed as well with their 32" LCD TV. Maganda ha, as in pwede na sya talaga, and mura sya.

Just don't ask much about the unit from their staff cause they know nothing about the LCDs. So I just figured out that there is only one way to find out kung tatagal ba tong unit na to at kung ok ba o hindi, kaya I bought one  ;D (18.5"). My brother, who is a certified boobtube addict since birth, actually commented "maganda din pala ah... mura pa"!

Please clarify your posts @ c.a. and Verbl Kint. As mentioned here by Nikkie, this thread is about an LCD TV and not an lcd monitor only.

The CDR King LCD TV 18.5" sells at P5,900. C.A. you claim that your LG 19in LCD is only 6.5k? Is this a TV or just a monitor? Please clarify for all PinoyDVD members please.

@ Verbl Kint, TV ba yung 18.5 Samsung LED monitor that you are claiming to have same price (around the same price)? Please clarify for all here.

Been more than a year already since I posted a comment on here, and apparently the tone of discussion is still the same: owning a cd-r king LCD TV is akin to a hospital deathwatch - happy ka na lang na buhay pa rin s'ya on a day-to-day basis :P

But wait. I recently saw a 32" Avision LCD available for P14K cash sa Virra Mall. Why not go for that brand instead which, based on other threads here at PDVD, is actually reliable and has way better PQ?

Word on the message boards is that CD-R King products are hit or miss, but the TV's are generally good.

It has a 1-year warranty, too.

And i think minimum dead pixels is 20 pixels before you can claim warranty.

The important thing is going to a seller you can trust and would act on warranties immediately.

To bring a Full HD 40" TV to a 16.8k price point, they probably had to cut some corners. Isa na yan siguro dun. :)

it all boils down to service when its a hit or miss thing. all brands have their own probabilities regarding dead pixels and defective units.  its really depends on your budget and the availability of service.  many brands from sony all the way to promac have their own QUALIFIED technicians and service parts inventory for common replacement parts.  does cdrking have one? i believe the owner is also a pdvd member.

The CDR King 18.5 LCDTV I bought in 2010 (November) is still in very good condition. It is still being used and abused in my mother's kitchen sa partida na yun sa init at usok but still in good shape and picture quality still very good.
Not even once nasira or nagloko.

I'm tempted to get one to use as a monitor. I mean, 1920x1080 resolution and 40" at under 16K Php definitely seems good, particularly when it'll be used in favorable conditions (always airconditioned and will be used mostly at night). I already have a projector for TV, games and movies, talagang monitor lang to. Anyone else think this could be a good monitor?

Feeling ko same quality lang ng mga American Home and the like na ka-price nya.

I was surprised sa PQ nung Konzert 40" na halos ganito din ang price, yun nga lang yung bezel pansin mo na di ganun kaganda pagka-mold nung plastic.

Thanks for the tip. Will look out for that one. On a related note, I saw a 32" Konzert LED TV at 16K Php cash and it looks just like an Apple Cinema Display. Really tempted to get it purely for thw design, but you never really know until you hook it up to a computer. From experience, not all HDTVs regardless of price are good for data use. I remember hooking up my laptop to Samsung Series 6 at a friend's house and the postprocessing from the TV wouldn't go away even if it was through VGA.

Hmm, what if you change the input name to PC?
Also, I wonder if we can find more detailed specs on the panel and other components used in Konzert and other weird brands like Ganzklar.

When you buy cdrking's lcd tv, you will have to sign a waiver that you cannot claim warranty on your unit until it has 5 dead pixels. There's a reason for this: almost every tv unit they have has dead pixels right out of the box. I bought a tv from them, then returned and demanded a refund the very next day.

Siguro they use the cheaper or slightly defective panels that don't qualify for other manufacturers.
