can't wait to see his first mega fight against MOntiel, this is also I think his first title fight in Bantamweights.. exciting.. by the way, will this be under PPV?

Just saw the odds, Donaire -205 / Montiel +180.. Are you willing to bet 205 pesos and get only 100 in return if you win? maliit nga, but eto mas malupit Pacquiao -750 / Mosley +525, your 100 bet for Pacquiao will only earn 13 pesos, ;D..
This will change as the fight gets closer though..

Donaire to walkout to Heber Bartolome's classic song 'Tayo'y Mga Pinoy' on February 19, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. That would be a nice pump up song. This would be Nonito's biggest chance to finally emerge as Manny Pacquiao's clear successor.
Notwithstanding the controversies surrounding Donaire about his falling out with his parents, he is still one of the few boxers from the Philippines who seem deserving of assuming Pacquiao's throne when the time comes.

Donaire's next opponent is Anselmo Chemito Moreno a Panamanian who towers at 5'8". He's undefeated and only 25 years old....it'll be a good test since this Panamanian is a defensive player, he'll make Donaire look bad much like how Mosley look bad against Mora, and if Donaire wins big, he'll have to go after Vasquez Jr. who's all form but no bite at featherweight(same ht. as Donaire), and finally the biggest test is at Super featherweight with JuanMa Lopez....and maybe....just ,maybe....he'll be the one to shut up Juan Marquez. ;) ;D

hehe, ok to, biglang bumait si Nonito ... not sure though if bullet is really faster than sonic boom, but Nonito surely knows that it is better to be hit by a sonic boom than a bullet :)

Nonito wins over Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. by split decision.
I scored it 115-112 for Donaire, with Vazquez winning the middle rounds. I have no idea which fight the other judge was watching, who scored it 116-111 for Vazquez.

good win for Nonito. Good thing he scored a knockdown or else things could've gotten a different turn. He just had gotten his anger over his head and seems to lacked focus on this fight.merely underestimating Vazquez most of the time. I also don't like his showboating. that won't win him more fans.He should've composed himself thru out the fight and focused more.

Donaire has the skills and the natural advantages of a boxer like speed, height, reach and punching power but he has no stamina. And that speaks ill of his work ethic. After 5 rounds he had Vazquez in control but then he started showboating. I think his showboating is a disguise for his lack of stamina. Nagpapahinga kaya puro porma muna. And that was when Vazquez started connecting.
