Though not fan of “unknown” brands, this is a welcome news if this model is Full Hd.

Their 23" LED monitor is selling for below 8k over at Gilmore. I'd buy it if I was in the market for one, unfortunately I just bought a 18.5" Samsung LED last year for 7k >:(
According to their website their LCD TV's goes up to 55" while LED's goes up to 42".

I just read that the KTC 42" LCD TV has a feature similar to the 120hz feature discontinued in the aVision TVs. Any truth to this?

I believe the newer stock that arrived are 42" LED's and not the regular LCD's. Maybe that's the one with the trumotion-like feature.

It's true mga Sirs, it does have trumotion/motionflow. But they call it Trimension and I saw it playing MP4 trailers hooked @ PC in Pioneer Shopping Center last week a ago. And it's an LCD by the way model 42T53 dun dati P22,500 now it selling like hotcakes they change the tag to P26k @ Pioneer. All I can say is wow!! :o . Bang for the bucks for the price of P21k :o @ gilmore. I do own a 23" LED and using it as my monitor for PC, PS3 and cable TV viewing as well, got it only @ P7,400 ;D. Planning to give this to my Erpats and buy the 42" since darating na this holy week yung LED then wait muna ::) ;D ;)

Bro punta ka lang sa pioneer center sa mandaluyong, yung grocery.
Naka demo dun yung 42-inch, halata naman na naka 100hz yung TV pag nag ddemo sila ng mga HD movies.
Kaya lng bad feedback ang post sale support dun sa pioneer daw.
Check mo rin sa Gilmore madami daw, sa Gaisano yata.

1360x768 ang ktc (around 720p), while 1920 x 1080 (1080p) sa sony.
if you watch 720p on 720p tv vs 720p on 1080p tv, it'll somewhat look better. but if you watch a 720p on a 720p tv vs 1080p on a 1080p tv, well..

Ang question ko lang dito eh yung power consumption. Pansin ko kasi na mas mataas yung power consumption ng KTC over other brands. Ano ba totoong power consumption nito based sa experience ng mga users?

I wonder about TCL. I think their LCD/LED models are priced a wee bit lower than the more renowned brands' (as they well should), though I do recall coming across a post somewhere here on PDVD before about their crappy after-sales service.

If you actually backread the thread, there are also issues where the backlight bleeding appears when mounted unlike in standing position.

yes, pero kasama sa bayad sa sony, samsung at LG yung quality assurance, warranty, reliability and after-sales service. 8)
there are non-major brand LCDs out there that seems decent, like avision.

i have placed my order na for this 23" LED TV. i actually ordered 3, 3 kame ng mga friends ko.
they now have 32 and 42" LEDs as well, @ 14,750 and 28k respectively.

hi froots, outright replacement within 7 days, then yung repair after that hindi ko natanong. :) will get back to you.
based sa seller so far wala pa nasira na 23" LED. yung 32" LCD daw yung meron ng returns.

Sir bago yung LED na 42”, wala pa akong nakikitang discussion on it. Medyo malayo yung price nya sa LCD nas 42, which is just around 22k, compared sa 13.9k for 32” LCD/ 14.7k sa 32” LED.
Para sa 28k, id still go for the popular brandsm but If its just 23k, mapapaisip ako.

I can't seem to find any info regarding a 120Hz feature for this TV :D
I am guessing that the manufacturer would be plastering it everywhere if it exists

the TVs have been delivered, but too bad im still in the office. i was surprised na naka sakay lang sa motor yung 5 TVs, lahat nakahiga, and i read in the box na dapat nakatayo daw dapat yung box. >:(
cant wait to go home and test it. will provide feedback and pictures :)

I just got home and didnt waste any time to set it up. It gave me a scare! Ayaw magpower on! Despite several pressing sa inakala ko na power button ayaw pa din!
Then noticed na may " totoong/tamang" power on switch sa ilalim, whew! All i can say is wow!:)

Picture quality is good, comparablr to the popular brands. What i do not like with this tv is the build of the stand, hindi sturdy. Another problem is yng remote, same sila ng egreat r200, the return button for ehrat is yung change ng picture setting sa ktc, hassle. I need to seperate the two para d magkakitaan.
For its price its really cheap, 2hdmi, usb connection haent tried playing anything thru this yet. Very slim and light, less than 4 kilos. Sana lang tumagal.

By the way, pwede mag request ng pictures ng likod where the connectors go in? Hindi ko kasi maintindihan yung nabasa ko about SkyCable Digibox na may kailangan pa bilhin na connector. ??? TIA

By the way, pwede mag request ng pictures ng likod where the connectors go in? Hindi ko kasi maintindihan yung nabasa ko about SkyCable Digibox na may kailangan pa bilhin na connector. ??? TIA
yeah nabasa kodin yon. actually pag kakuha pa lang namen sa units namen 3/5 units medyo may chipped off part na ung glass stand nya kaya extra careful ako sa pag screw. sige sir ill do it tomorrow

^ Salamat sir, abangan ko nalang. BTW, wala palang box yung cable provider at deretso coax cable lang sa CRT tv. Ok lang kaya ang reception nun, hindi kaya maging pixelated kapag kinabit na sa KTC? Baka matulad ako sa commercial ng Cignal pag nagkataon. Kaya iniisip ko din yung unit na may signal booster, malaki nga lang price difference at hindi LED. :-\

haha pero baka naman lagpas sa gilid nya yung bracket. ;D
medyo hindi sturdy talaga yung build ng stand, ingat ako sa pag galaw sa kanya. but picture quality wise, not bad at all.

mahina masyado yung speaker nya even if you put it sa max level. since I just use it as a monitor as of the moment, non issue sya sakin. pero if sa room lang naman gagamitin tinign ko "pwede na" yung sound.

Update:
of the 5units that we got, 4 is still working well without any issues except for the stand naissue na talaga since day 1. Unfortunately yug sakin pa yung may problem, yung hdmi connections are acting up. Nawawala yung signal, have informed the store pinababalik sa shop for check up and repair if needed.

cant find the time yet para dalin sa shop in Espana, hopefully nextweek. m also trying to isoloate it, it happens lang sa Pio 410 dvd ko eh. but when i hook it up sa pana pv70 ko wala naman probelema.

of the 5units that we got, 4 is still working well without any issues except for the stand naissue na talaga since day 1. I have experienced that same problem din Sir.
Dati I have a 32in TCL lcd (HD ready lang sya), then nakakabit sa kanya thru HDMI, isang Samsung dvd upscaling player & a Sony blu ray.
First observation ko, pag nood ako ng dvd and naka upscale sya ng 1080p...namamatay-matay sya...mag black out then resume ulit. Sa isip ko bka kc 720p lang yung lcd ko...so binabaan ko ng 720p yung upscale ng dvd ko. Pero ganun pa rin. So try ko ulit na 480p lang...and nawala yung black outs.
2nd observation ko, may PIP kc yung TCL ko dati. Nag try ako ng nuod ng tv as main, then yung PIP yung dvd na naka 720p...ganun pa rin e namamatay yung signal nung dvd..kahit na PIP na maliit na portion e namamatay din.
Also sa bluray HDMI din...no problem naman

Kaya po sa tingin ko po e compatibility problem sa lcd ko at yung Samsung dvd player ko.

Hey guys I just bought a 42L11 unit. Initially pretty decent yun PQ, I'd say around 7/10, but the sound quality is pretty "tunog lata" I tried adjusting the sound settings sa TV pero hindi parin makuha. Is it just my unit or ganun din for the other owners out there? :)

use the native reso of your panel which is 1080 if your using 23incher.

Just got the KTC 23L15 last Saturday.
On its built-in media player, plays 1080p (14gb) mkv movies well without stuttering. Problem when playing low bitrate 720p movies (like 450mb to 1gb), artifacts on some dark scene portions at times. My WDTV Gen1 NMT plays these low bitrate 720p movies better.
I suppose the built-in media player does poor video upconversion. There's no setting if I want to use 720p instead of 1080p when using USB. How about if I want to play DiVX movies? So, might be better to use an external NMT instead to get the best video quality always.
On playing SRT subtitles, the text size shows up too small to be readable. The only solution for now is to convert to IDX/SUB format. But then had problem with txt2vobsub. The subtitles shows up at the mid left side of the screen instead. Weird.......
On listing of movies using its built-in media player. Limited to 17 pages (x16 objects per page) per folder. Anything more than that doesn't show up on the screen. Only solution is to try splitting up the list onto another folder instead.
Is there a way to show the movies in a vertical list instead of the 4x3 icon list? Any jpg doesn't show up as cover page in this mode. So this 4x3 matrix is not helpful. No option in the media player menu for doing so.
By the way, I saw the Gantzklar LED TV. Seems like the built-in media player is the same as this KTC model. OEM unit maybe.
Do you guys think that there is a possibility that we can get firmware updates on our KTC units?
For those using 32L15 or if there is the 42L15, do you have the same findings as above? But then, the 32L15 might be a 720p unit only.
Our KTC units doesn't give out any bass. So better to connect to an external sound system instead. Am currently using the headphone out jack at the side. Although the volume is controllable using the TV remote, but then I want to use TV broadcast using its internal speakers. Have to explore other options as I don't see a way to switch between the internal speaker and external audio out using the built-in menu (unlike another brand).

If yun ang nakalagay sa actual specs ng unit, yun na nga yun. HD ready lang nga ang nakalagay sa sticker and box. If you expect a full HD, ibalik niyo na lang sa seller kasi bago pa naman. Though for the prices of KTC kasi, sulit na din. ;D

PQ is superb. ang linaw.
Very Slim Profile and design
it has 2 HDMI ports, one PC Port, 1 component port, 2 composite ports, 1 USB port for a 23" TV
Remote is big and does not feel cheap.
Cons:
Programing your Analog Cable is hard
Analog Cable reception is bad compared to my Samsung(i tried to plug my samsung TV and it was not as bad as the KTC). I'm guessing analog cable is really bad here in the Phil ;D
Stand does not swivel (minor plus if it did)
All in all for 7k, its a steal. tried watching some HD movies and it was a good experience.
can be bought at pc hub gilmore and Questlogic BF (where i got mine)

It can decode (interpret/downmix) the DTS/AC3 audio and output to built-in stereo speakers or headphone out stereo jack.
I think it cannot output 5.1 sound since it doesn't have audio optical out or coaxial out.

mga sir, natry niyo na bang gamiting ung KTC 23" maghapon? o ung matagalan na nakabukas. meron kasi akong KTC 23L15 ung my media player. pag ginagamit ko ng mga 2 hours o mahigit mainit na ung likod bandang kaliwa kapag nakaharap ka sa likod ng monitor.. normal lang ba un hindi ba masisira?
dapat kasi sa KTC ihiwalay nila ung power supply niya katulad ng mga ibang brand. parang sa mga samsung monitor karamihan nakahiwalay ung power supply kaya hindi masyadong mainit ung likuran.

after 20 months, alive and kicking parin yung 23L15 ng mga kids ko.
minimum 10 hours a day usage. ( 32GB of harddrive full of cartoons, always on the loop).
wala pa naman problem so far. sulit na sulit ! I wouldn't mind getting another one for the Attic pag lumipat kami ng house this coming december.

smart tv function is fine.
i can browse, watch fav vid on youtube with no buffering issue via dolphin browser.
it has an audio out (rca) that can be connected to your amp.
