May sites have leaked the "favorites" cast list, as well as the winners.
Here's the alleged list of returning castaways:
Erik Reichenbach, Survivor Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites
Corinne Kaplan, Survivor Gabon
Brenda Lowe, Survivor Nicaragua
Andrea Boehlke, Survivor Redemption Island
Francesca Hogi, Survivor Redemption Island
Phillip Sheppard, Survivor Redemption Island
John Cochran, Survivor South Pacific
Brandon Hantz, Survivor South Pacific
Dawn Meehan, Survivor South Pacific
Malcolm Freberg, Survivor Philippines
I only remember half of them, and I have no idea how 90% of these people can be considered "favorites."
I will enjoy Phillip calling Francesca "Fwanchweschwa" over and over again, though. ::)

I've never really understood why people read spoilers on the outcome of reality shows, since for me, once you know the results, watching the season is completely pointless. Especially with Survivor, where every season is virtually identical to the previous one, except for the outcome. :(

it is also fun to discuss the guesses that come into why the spoilers can come to being.

yep.i even tell people at home not to tell me even if im just waiting for the replay to be shown. i too lose interest whenever i get to come across spoilers.

Season 26 of Survivor will premiere on February 13. It will be a two-hour special episode.
It will be another Fans vs. Favorites (though I do not know how most of the returning players were considered to be favorites)

Malcolm gained so much weight - how long was the interval between the 2 seasons? Wife said he probably feasted on lechon in between.

The episode ran 90 minutes with commercials in the States. It runs almost 64 minutes without commercials. Did you see an edited version?

what i watched was a 63-minute show without commercials.
ganda nga ng pinas kaso evident sa site ng challenge ang mga palayan. obvious din na limited ang location for challenges unlike sa ibang seasons na the loc/challenges themselves are surprises one would expect.
but a very good premier pa rin. kumpleto agad. may away, may lambingan and what a huge challenge for immunity.

That was rather interesting TV and I guess Jeff was pretty happy with such twist after the rather dull previous eps. Kaso, with so many people applying for a chance to join this reality contest, what a stupid waste that any contestant would play the game in a totally no-win manner.

This is one blindside that could have been completely avoided. I really don't understand the thought process of Corinne on this one. Phillip wanted to split the Favorites votes between Reynold and Eddie. She could have just gone along with the plan and her planned coup would have worked. They had six votes already!

I think she was anticipating next week's vote. Even if they had gotten rid of someone on the favorites, the following week they'd be six in the new alliance going up against seven, who would be likely to vote off the one who betrayed their original alliance.
Plus they didn't really even have six, since Malcolm wasn't able to secure Eric's vote.

But even without Erik, Reynold and Eddie would only get 3 votes each.

Which brings me back to the first part of my statement. She'd be voted off by the majority next week if she turned on them in secret.

It breaks my heart to see Brenda voted out in the Tribal council even though she gave up her reward to the other four. Well, thats the game. I will miss you Brenda... :-[ ;) :-*

It was just a bad move to give up the reward. She could have picked Sherri to join them in the reward and they'd have a strong triumvirate.

I know for season 1, it was 1M for the winner, 100,000 for the runner-up, and 90,000 for the 3rd placer.

I didn't really watch Survivor over the years, but managed to watch a few episodes of this season. Was flabbergasted by Brenda's exit! So I guess that's really how the game goes. There's an article in Grantland saying that she was basically too nice to win Survivor -
She was a strong player during her first season in Nicaragua, and even though she totally blended in with the lithe, waving palms, her performance in Caramoan has been studded with generous acts of kindness (snorkeling for Dawn’s retainer) and physical prowess. She seems like a good dude, but being a good dude can backfire when it makes you into a threat. While this seems to have occurred to most of the remaining tribe members, who have strangled their innocence with the monster fists of their ambitious greed — smart! — the more we’ve seen of Brenda, the clearer it is that she’s just not built for that kind of duplicity this season. Maybe that’s why she’s been so invisible while still remaining Mom’s choice 2013 (even Cochran’s mom was all aboard the SS Brenda): After 35 days getting comfortable in the trusty old sedan of her alliance and her own honorable gameplay, her experience of this season could really be summed up in the one episode in which the tide turned against her. There was no need to establish what came before it with anything other than a scene of her diving for false teeth, braving all manner of microscopic disease fish and digging around in grody sediment. Brenda never adapted; she never realized the in-game benefits of being moderately sadistic or flip-floppy or flawed. She was too chill, as good dudes sometimes are.

Cochran summed it up quite nicely: They were at that stage of the game when likeability is a liability.

Brenda changed her gameplan maybe because of her parents' advise to be "humble"
in her first season, she was actually cunning, devious, and a bit proud.
By the way I didn't see where the next Survivor location will be.
Plus, I don't like that the other contestants were seated among the audience. I was hoping to see Hope more times. lol
