I am looking for reviews in the internet pero I know PDVD will give me more knowledge about these type of tv's I'm a newbie on choosing brands and types. my budget for plasma is about 40k-60k or it could be on led, but for 3d tv I'm sure it's more expensive. I'll be using it most of the time for cable and movie viewing kasi it would be place on our sala, I have my own tv for my gaming pleasure, so what would you suggest for me. thanks! :))

Kung full-array/direct array LED lighting, LED ka na. Wala nang backlight bleeding or if meron, very, very minimal. You get the benefit of low energy consumption pa if you use your TV a lot. :D
Pero kung katulad ka ng mga Plasma enthusiasts dito who swear by their plasma's dramatic PQ difference from LED's try mo din Plasma. They claim deeper blacks daw, etc ,etc. That is, if you are 100% videophile and you're anal about stuff like that. If not, LEDs will give you 100% satisfaction na.

I never tried plasma tvs. Heavy user kasi ako ng TV on weekends pag walang lakad, I do marathon-watching or non-stop PS3 gaming. Iiyak electric bill ko if ever I used a plasma tv. With LED tv (42 inches lang naman), happy na ako sa tv performance and happy din sa electricity bill.
I have friends who are also heavy users na former plasma tv owners. They swear na significant daw decrease ng electic bill nila after shifting to LED.
Nung Samsung EH5300 gamit ko, (direct array LED), malapit-lapit na PQ nya sa Plasma (based on comparisons inside a TV store. siyempre, baka gumanda pa lalo Plasma seen in a better environment)
But again, it all boils down to your taste. deeper blacks vs higher brightness/contrast which is better for brighter environments, electicity bill, etc etc.
Makikita mo dito sa PDVD projectors and Plasma tvs ang patok. If you can afford the increase in electric ity bill and you really want the best pq (as what i've read from people here), then plasma is the way. haha

inlaws ko kasi 50" plasma ang gamit meron talaga glare so most of the time if pwede pinapatay yung ilaw
dito sakin 42" led gamit ko no problems kahit bukas ang ilaw

Haha ganun ba. Sir, so yeah I'm 70;30 with LED haha medyo malabo nga pala mata ko so siguro I won't notice that big difference, saka yung 3d siguro sasakit lang ulo ko kasi nga malabo mata ko eh kailangan ng glasses nun. Hmmmmm may iba pa bang mas better sa EH5300? :) or even wider screen na di naman medyo mataas yung presyo kailangan ko pa kasi ng pang home theater.

Sir I checked it at abenson near me, medyo old model na pala eh5300 above 50" daw is mga plasma na pala.
I've got a qoutation of LG 47" lm6200 69,997 cash straight, at 12,990 for home theater which is bluray 3d Mddyo magulo sulat niya pero high end na yung Ht nya. Yung LS5700 di ko pa nakita pero sir what do you think? Ano mas okay sa LG na yan. Yung package na nakita ko with 12 free 3d glasses tas yung dalawa ata yung ibang glasses.

ah ok. I suggest audition mo yung LG at Samsung (EH5300) tapos decide ka na kung alin ang mas gusto mo.
regarding sa difference ng 47 sa 50, 3 inches add a lot of screen real estate! mas obvious pag kinompare mo ang 42 sa 50". try to get the biggest screen you can afford. :)

maganda ang mga LED tvs ng Sharp. yung reservation ko lang sa 50" model nila ay edge-lit lang cya, hindi full-array LED. regarding 55" LED, for some reason, ang laki ng price diff nila sa 46" models.

Oo nga, kaya medyo nagdadalawang isip pa ako sa led eh, nakita ko yung isang post from our fellow PDVD user, na unti lang din pala ang difference between LED and Plasma power consumption. tsk tsk, naguguluhan na ako hahahaha. patalon talon na ako kung ano ba talaga ang pag pipilian ko kailangan na ng TV by the end of the month kasi matatapos na yung bahay na pinagawa. :|

Simula nag switch ako sa plasma di ko na na sisikmura manood sa lcd/led when it comes to hd and sd cable/hd movies and lotsa gaming. Pero baka mag bago yun pag na try ko na manood sa hx850 or sharp elite pero masyado pa mahal ang full array at my desired size.

Kung ikaw sir, would you sacrifice the 4" for the led? the Tv will be use in our living room, and yes it will be used a lot. 85k sa SNS yung 55" so sa abensons or ansons mas mataas siguro. hay, kung may budget pa sana, kailangan pa kasi ng HTB. tsss.

malaki na rin ang 46". saka malaki ang price difference ng 46" LED sa 55" LED. gamitin mo na lang ang savings mo sa diff nila para sa audio gears.
