HBO has announced a full series order for Westworld, based on the 1973 film of the same name, which tells the story of a futuristic adult amusement park filled with androids. The series is being developed by Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest) and Lisa Joy, and will be also be co-produced by the duo, along with J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk, and Jerry Weintraub.
Cast includes Anthony Hopkins, James Marsden, Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Miranda Otto, Rodrigo Santoro, Ed Harris, Kyle Bornheimer

2018 is a long wait. if anything, the finale should wrap a lot of unresolved plots, hopefully. like i said, 2018 is so far off that a cliffhanger ending would probably work against the show.

In episode 3, pinakita ni Ford yung picture ni Arnold-kuno. There were only 2 persons in the photo. Pero in yesterday's episode, the same photo had 3 persons which included Bernard.
Was there an explanation to that? Ford blocking Bernard's mind from seeing himself in the photo in episode 3?

I'd like to think it's Ford kasi parang in control siya with everything that's been going on. Parang distraction yung storyline ni Maeve para di madetect ng security yung pagbring back to life ng ibang hosts na nasa storage.
Security all focused on 3 hosts Maeve, Hector and Armstice so wala nang nakapigil sa dozens of hosts in the storage who came back to function and attacked the Delos shareholders.
Ok din yung narrative kay Maeve. Nakalagay sa sinulat : "Mainland Infiltration"
But she decided to go against the Narrative and stayed in Delos instead. So baka yun yung talagang pag-gain ng consciousness nya?

That's what I thought too... staying in the park instead of leaving was her own conscious decision, and by doing that, she went against the narrative.

Probably her reverie. It seemed like she was daydreaming when she saw the mother and daughter in the train. Triggered her memories and maybe emotions.

Did binge-viewing while traveling overseas. While pretty pleased with the series, I thought some of the plotlines were predictable. I still enjoyed it though, and will be looking forward to season 2.

The 90-minute season finale is tonight (tomorrow, local time); this season has been a mixed bag, and the show seems to be degenerating into another "Lost," with mysteries layered on top of even more mysteries.
There have been some very good episodes (the one with Akecheta was outstanding), but I'm getting tired and annoyed with shows that feature multiple timelines (Legion, Fear the Walking Dead, 12 Monkeys, Counterpart, Mr. Robot, Altered Carbon); this season alone of Westworld has 3 damn timelines--enough already.
Still hoping that the season finale doesn't disappoint, and that we don't get more of the same in Season 3.

Lol @ the Lost comparison. I loved that show but it kept putting several more layers of secrets and mysteries to unravel on top of the already confusing myteries that have yet to be answered.
Like give us a freakin break will ya. Haha
And then the ending was just like that? Please dont be like that jerk of a show, Westworld. Haha

Well, that was fun, at least regarding the fate of Dolores, which completely blindsided me --well done, Westworld.
The rest, not so much. But Akecheta's ending was good; Maeve's too, and she'll be back, since Felix and Sylvester are still around. Turns out I was right about Elsie, since she does not appear in the present timeline, but Thor's brother revealed as a host took me by surprise. Hated Bernard since the Pilot--what a f**king tool. Also, I really hate the word "Fidelity" now, LOL.
Pero wtf is going on with William. What happened to his game with Ford?

I watched the 1st episode yesterday without knowing what this show is about. It was a total mindfudge!!! I just couldn't understand what the hell is going on!

Just finished this.. not bad, not great. Season 1 was better than Season 2.
This is one of those series that you need to know the ending and it is the only reason i finished it. It is not one of those series where you are captivated and go on a binge and finish all ten episodes in a single day like GOT. there are times where I watched the next episode after a couple of days....

After watching S1E1 and getting completely lost, I decided to watch the original 1973 movie. Medyo nagets ko na yung premise ng show. So I rewatched S1E1 again and got interested on where the story was going. I'm currently at S1E5 and the show is losing my interest again. It's just too darn confusing! Parang laging out of sequence na anggulo gulo! Maybe if I watch the full season and rewatch it again baka maintindihan ko na. Kinda reminds me of that movie Memento.

That's because there are twists involving several characters that will be revealed towards the end of the season ... so the scenes being shown are not happening in the same timeline; there was a major hint about this in the second episode of S1 -- look at the "Westworld" logo.
I've rewatched S1 after watching S2, and some scenes and character dialogue now make a lot of sense, LOL

Just started watching this a couple of days ago and damn this is good (nasa Episode 6 palang ako). Visually and narratively very engaging.
Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris are powerhouses. Yung scene nila sa bar - goddamn. Ramin Djwani again with the amazing musical score as well, incorporating a lot of popular music into the mix.
I'm getting LOST vibes in terms of there seemingly a good vs evil power struggle being alluded to (ala Jacob vs MiB) but I can't decide who is the bad guy here yet, which is great! (If I can't tell the difference, does it matter? lol.) Then there's also the big corporation operating in the background like The Dharama Initiative.
Also reminds be a bit of the show Dollhouse as well. Glad I decided to start watching this.

HBO has canceled “Westworld” after four seasons, the network announced Friday. The news comes just under three months after the series aired its Season 4 finale Aug. 14.
