I love this documentary series. Even the kids love it, too. They find the visuals awe-inspiring.

BBC Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray Planet Earth II 4K.
The two releases, narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, will be available for purchase on March 28.

David Attenborough is the man.....have been a fan of these documentaries since I was a child watching "Life on Earth" and "The Living Planet". In fact, I used to want to become a nature documentary filmmaker.....
I used to watch the reruns of these shows in RPN 9 when i was young hahahahaha

Better question would be when will it be out on Netflix? I dont want to buy a 4K blu-ray player. I barely used my PS3's player.
Lessons from Betamax, LaserDisc, VHS, VCD and DVD has taught me that you're always on the losing end with physical media.

Finished Planet Earth II in Blu-ray last night. Superb presentation that should look reference quality fantastic in 4K. My son & I enjoyed this series immensely. :)

BBC Home Entertainment has detailed the Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD releases of Blue Planet II. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough with a soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, the BBC exploration of the oceans' depths will be available for purchase on March 6th.

Netflix’s Natural History Series
Netflix has revealed their first teaser for the new original documentary series Our Planet, which will launch globally on Netflix on April 5, 2019.
The ambitious series was created in collaboration with Silverback Films, whose director Alastair Fothergill was the creator of the critically acclaimed original Planet Earth and Blue Planet series, and WWF, the world’s leading conservation organization.
The groundbreaking, eight-part series will showcase the planet’s most precious species and fragile habitats, revealing amazing sights on Earth in ways they’ve never been seen using the latest in 4k camera technology.
The ambitious four-year project has been filmed in 50 countries across all the continents of the world, with crew capturing more than three and a half thousand filming days, and will focus on the breadth of the diversity of habitats around the world, from the remote Arctic wilderness and mysterious deep oceans to the vast landscapes of Africa and diverse jungles of South America.
World-renowned naturalist Sir David Attenborough will voice the series in English-language territories. Local narrators will be announced in the new year.

^ Frozen Planet 2 will be released in 2021 while Planet Earth 3 will be released in 2022. David Attenborough is already 93 this year. I don't think he can commit to narrating these 2 shows at this stage in time. That said, it will be a very sad day indeed when we eventually lose him to old age. :-\
