Billions is an American television drama series created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin, starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis premiering on Showtime. The series is loosely based on the activities of crusading federal prosecutor of financial crimes Preet Bharara, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York,[1][2] and his legal battles with hedge fund manager Steve Cohen of SAC Capital.[3] The second season premieres February 19, 2017.

My god. Yesterday's episode's ending was gravy! That reveal. Wow. I felt pity for Rhodes. Then my eyes opened up wide in amazement of how things unfolded.

Just finished Season 2. Definitely better than the first with a far better screenplay. Fans won't be alienated by the new twists and turns and will enjoy how the plot is developed, particularly on the last 3 episodes.
Quite possibly the best drama on TV at the moment.

I make this required watching for interns, with subtitles on, so they can ask me about terms. if you guys liked this show, then Black Edge would be a good read (about SAC, now Point72) - which Axe Capital was roughly based on

not directly. you can short via swap, but borrow is done offshore. although limited anyway. and even if it's done eventually here, liquidity for our market is not great, so will be tough to short (easy to get squeezed). the simple way to look at it is if you go long (buy) a stock, your downside is 100% of your capital (the max you lose is all of the capital you used to buy). but if you go short a stock, your downside is infinite (the max you can potentially lose is infinite - as the stock price can keep going up, magnifying your losses along the way)

ganda talaga ng back-and-forth nung dalawa. One episode lalamang si Ax, the next si Giamatti naman.

Just recently gave up on this. Though S5 na ko. Naumay din ako before mga S3 yata. Nag try ako ulit. Naumay ako sa mga style ni Chuck. Quit ko na for good siguro. Hehe
