Generally agree.  As a Mavs follower, I knew Brunson was good, but I never expected to see his superstar-level breakout with the Knicks.  Jalen's dad did the right thing - get his son out of Luka's big shadow. I believe Cuban never had a chance.

I believe that's the Mark Cuban version of the story behind this exodus of Jalen Brunson to the Knicks. He made it a point to spin it to the media that he had zero chance of retaining JB because of his Dad and that tampering was involved.  Cuban has a huge clout in the NBA circles hence the tampering allegation

He is the only team owner who didn't give his championship team a fair chance of defending the title....because of money.

Dirk had to take a paycut so that they can bring in more talent.  Sa Warriors ba ganun?  That speaks volumes about the shrewdness of Mark Cuban. Gusto nya palagi sya ang panalo.

Ayun when they lost JB, they had to give up a ton of assets to get Kyrie just so that they don't alienate their fanbase kasi umalis si JB.  Classic Cuban...he spun a story that made JB and his Dad as the villains.

I always believe that realistic NBA contracts and salaries should be based on what you can become to the team given your specific role and responsibility. It shouldn't be based on what you have done in the past.  Factor din kasi yung age and decline.
