Watched episode 12. Galing ng culture shock ng group sa Alexandria. Understandable yung need to stay together. Kakaawa din si Carl sa social shock niya with kids. Looks like the theme now is dealing with a weak group. Interesting din yung apathy ni Daryl. Katay ng ulam sa malinis na bahay. Ayaw maligo. It was like now I'm a nobody again. Awesome final statement from Rick. Galing ng writers.

The Walking Dead town is for sale he he:

We take their ugly plight for granted. When you think about how traumatized  and hardened they had been, then you begin to appreciate how they change as people.

It's this aspect that some people interpret as boring. I on the other hand find it interesting.

Carol's projection of a "people person" in her video interview and subsequent conversation with Daryl was hilarious.  ;D

And more foreshadowing of the Wolves:

Carl the actor is outgrowing the story's timeline.

How can this...

...become this in 2 years. He he he. But we already threw realism out the window with decapitated heads that produce sound.

Has it been two years since the outbreak? I think it's more than 2 years, maybe 3. Chandler Riggs is almost 16 but I think he can still pass for 14.

I don't know how long it took from Rick at the hospital to finding his family. Laurie got pregnant and wasn't sure who's the Dad. So she conceived on the hill camp or maybe early at Hershel's farm. Add Rick's solo time to 9 months. Maybe it was a year when they were at the prison. The baby wasn't walking at Alexandria. They usually do 9 mos to a year old. Assuming it only took Rick a few months to find his family then 2 years is my guess.

According to The Walking Dead Wiki.... the episode "Coda" is set around 514 days after the outbreak.  The current episode is set at 537 days after the outbreak.

Wow! So many questions!

What's the deal with Alexandria?
Where is the architect husband?
What's the secret of the girl who appears to regularly sneak out of Alexiandria?
What's the deal with Rick's new hair stylist and her creepy cigarette-smoking husband?
Who took Rick's gun?
Where are the children? Was it all in Rick's head?

I love the contrasting approach of Daryl and Carol.

Daryl just refuses to adapt to Alexandria's look and way of life. He's very guarded and suspicious, and everyone can see that.

Carol, on the other hand, appears to love Alexandria. She immediately changed into this preppy Brady Bunch Stepford Wives look, and she appears to embrace Alexandria the most. But then, during psych interview, she flat out lies!  Just goes to show that her plan is to infiltrate Alexandria and her loyalty is still with Rick. Awesome!

Don't ask. Folks ;) who read the books might answer. I hope not. Thanks, guys.

So it was 537 days to Alexandria. It meant Rick found his family quicker than i thought.

Good insight on Daryl and Carol. Both remain guarded but chose to go about it differently.

Interesting how they gender-swapped the Douglas Monroe character in the comics as Deanna Monroe in the TV series.

Reading the books will most likely not be too much of spoiler since the TV show is a separate entity. Some characters that are alive on the show are dead in the comic books (Judith, Carol) and vice versa (Andrea, Sophia). Some story lines that were in the comic books are given to different characters (Lizzie/Mika story line).

But i did notice that they're incorporating the comic books more and more. Sort of like the reverse of Game of Thrones.

Agree, even the characters' personalities are off by a long, long shot (Tyreese, Carol). Recently started to read the comics and so far (I'm at 27th issue now, prison arc), aside from some key events, characters' names and some arc similarities, I can't see the semblance of the TV series events to what was published over the strips. It's like a new story altogether.
Never stop learning.

they're not really incorporating it more as the main flow of the story is still based on the comic books since the beginning of the show. the difference is in the specifics. they just change some of the details and added fillers that were not in the comics just to not catch up with the story in the comic books.

She mentioned having kids... but not having a husband...

I have to be very quick with the remote again or screen every episode first for pg materials...  :P

Natawa kami dun sa "wow, didn't know what was under there" comment, referencing on Rick's face after shaving...

Oo, di pwede kay bunso ito. Kay kuya at ate safe na except perhaps the occasional steamy scenes. But with internet, wala na tayong tinatago sa kids. Just put what they see in context para hindi magmadali.

They were an item at the prison. Then Carol was exiled by Rick. After the Prison, Daryl fell in love with Beth. I was not sure if Carol's mercy killings had an impact on Daryl. But this season, Daryl was very distant from Carol while the latter tried to rekindle the friendship. At this time, signs are, Daryl is straight.

LOL, Carol & Daryl were never an item--they have a close bond, but there was never any confirmation that they were in love. Same with Beth, which Daryl thought of as a younger sister, and often acts protectively towards her.

As for the comics, it's moot at this point regarding these three, because Carol is dead in the comics, and both Daryl and Beth do not exist in the comics.

Yeah, Daryl only thought of Beth as a younger sister.  Otherwise, eh di sana may nangyari na when they were hiding in the trunk of an abandoned car.

May mga theories nga na bading si Daryl.

I believe the producers/writers of the show already said on record that Daryl is "officially" straight.

Yup, Kirkman himself confirmed that Daryl is straight.
