Chaplin's Essanay Comedies, Vol. 01 (1915)

i 1st bought the 1st collection by madacy, and it was a pain watching it, the print was really bad! good thing i was able to trade it! :)

so stay away and stay clear from the madacy version!

Get the Image version! These films were painstakingly restored by David Sheperd's "Film Preservation Associates" after a ten-year search for footage. :)

Wizard of Oz

Both came out in 1939. That was a golden year for movies. Mr. Deeds Goes to Washington also opened that year. Still have to buy The Wizard of Oz.

It Happened One Night (1934)

Since it was the first picture to ever sweep all the major Academy Awards, I was curious about it.

A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) - Marlon Brando, Vivien Leigh. The oldest and probably the least watched DVD in my collection.

I assumed it would be the twin bill Frankenstein (1931) and The Bride of Frankenstein (1935) but found this on the shelf last night:

Number 17 (1932) / Ring (1927)

Gone with the Wind

and

Wizard of Oz

(Don't know which is older but GWTW is definitely longer!)

Oz was released 25 August, 1939 while GWTW was released 15 December, 1939.

So OZ is older by about 3.67 mos.

Bought it just to re-educate my wife's brothers and sisters after watching that stupid Pearl Harbor movie released recently.
