just watched the 2012 with my 32LH70YR and im quite so pleased with it hehehe

anyone already tried playing mkv's using the tweak that worked?

I know the tweak is for the 32LF20 and IIRC for you to play MKV files via USB of the 32LH70 is you should have 3.5 FW. For me i will not play MKV files on my unit since i cant enjoy the movie for the reason that the TV can't speaker can't output DTS.

Personally i think even the normal DIVX/AVI playback of this unit is atrocious...ok, maybe sub-par at best.

guess ur right with this one... if ever we get to play mkv's it would be without sound or we would need sound decoders to give the sound output...

as what xrampage pointed out even if the MKV files would play there would be no sound because MKV has DTS sound and our tv's cant decode DTS so if we really want MKV files i guess the best option would be to pair it with a WDTV live or an Xtreamer hehehe...

I have tried playing DIVX files as usual PQ is not that good and has a sound only at the LCDTV.

the movies i gave you are about 90-95% dts audio. 
try something about mary, iirc it is a native stereo movie

You will certainly appreciate your LCD TV more if you have HD sources.  The audio and video quality is immensely improved over the standard DVD.

I never listen to salesguys/promodizers (in the above case, you shouldn't, either).  I make my own decision from the feedback online and auditioning the device.

I find it hard to believe that the TCL beats the Panny.

I find the black level of 32LH70 deeper black than Panasonic. Check this out and compare it with Panasonic at Sights and Sounds 4th level Shangri-La Plaza.

Great! I'm dead set with this unit now. I hope you can give me a good deal. LG 32LH70, Htib and probably an xtreamer.

By the way, last year I got my 32lx80 from sights and sounds and it was a good experience (and I got a really good deal also) and i'm sure my next purchase will be as well.

A plain microfiber towel would do?

Hi everyone,

I'm set to buy an LG 32LH70YR but the best deal I've got so far, within Alabang area, is actually pretty much the standard offer of 30K including the wall-mount bracket.

This thing is selling like crazy and most appliance centers in Festival Mall and Alabang Town Center ran out of stock already!  Some stores don't include the wall bracket for the 30K cash price, but some do... but basically the best they could offer is 30K cash.

Any tips where I can get better bargain?

I'm now a fan of the LG 32LH70YR.  In fact I'm getting one this weekend.

This is too tempting to pass up... for 30K it's not only among the cheapest Full HD 32" LCDs around, but also probably the only one at this price point with USB-direct playback of DivX videos plus Bluetooth, and not to mention it's currently the best-looking TV that 30K can buy. 

Wala na sigurong mas susulit pa dito sa ngayon. 

One thing I've read about, but no chance to confirm... apparently its speaker system was tweaked by Mark Levinson (the legendary man behind numerous high-end audiophile equipment).  Kamusta ba ang speakers nito, talaga bang tunog tweaked by Levinson?  Hehehe.

you may check out 3M lens cloth cleaner
if find this very effective in cleaning tv panels
