Hi Redkoji,

I am using a pair of Klipsh Chorus with sensitivity of 101dB.  Because of its high efficiency,  I am using a 3/4 Watt  (0.75 watt) Darling tube amp to loud listening level.

guys, nakita na ba ninyo yung DTX (dai ichi made) SB 620?  Kamukhang kamuka ng Klipsch SB-2.  According to the salesman sa upscale, dai ichi daw nag su supply ng drivers for the SB-2 to Klipsch.  The price is 5.7k

hehe even the sensitivity states that its 93 dB, but according to some who auditioned the sb-2 medyo slow daw yung speakers, nahihirapan pag maraming dynamics yung music. I saw these at makati cinema square selling for 5,500. Dapat nga maglalabas yung dai-1chi ng definitive tech style speakers, napigil lang hehe, still I wonder how these dai-1chi speakers compare with the actual sb-2 using a tube amp ;)

yup! magkamukha nga pero i think the crossover components of the dtx are not the same, in fact, inferior to the real klipsch models. i find the dtx sb-620 difficult to drive compared to the klipsch. IMHO, manipis yung mids compared to the real thing. just my 2 cents...

anak ng tipaklong  ;D kung pareho drivers nyan eh tanggalin na lang yun x-over, palitan ng mas maganda with internal silver wiring, better binding posts, at nako magagalit ang Klipsch nyan  ;D

o nga, wiring and x-over nga lang daw yung diff (according to the upscale salesman).  Pa tweak na lang kina Nirv yan.  Laki ng diff sa price as compared to the real ones.

mayron din ba sa upscale ng DTX SC center and  WDST Surrounds? mas mura pa cguro sa qiapo yang dtx sb 620.

pag pinatweak ba yan kina nirv, di ba mababago sensitivity nyan?

just inherited a pair of Klipsch KG-1 bookshelves from isak0411. (btw, he upgraded to a pair of rb-3 bookshelves!) the KG-1's cabinet appears to be made out of real wood! unlike the new models, this model has a transducer type tweeter and its already out of production.

its a very transparent  bookshelf speaker. unforgiving to a bad source, frontend. i use it, once in awhile with my "all chrome, rivo special" dynaco st-70 amp.

sounds terrible before amp reaches 15 minutes of warm up. after 30 minutes, its just remarkable how the mids start to come out and the highs become more mellow. like most klipsch models, its unbeatable with brass-heavy, jazz like Clark Terry, Wynton Marsalis, Miles Davis, John coltrane, Bill Holman, Count Basie, and similar stuff.

mabuhay ang klipsch!

juls,
actually mas mura sa mga dealer ng DTX, kasi according to them may price protection daw sila, so mas mahal daw sa daiichi showroom.  And wala akong nakitang center na match dun sa SB-620

Paging Redkoji and Nilo!

my friend isak0411 wants to audition your floorstanders. he just got a pair of rb-3s but would
like to hear how the floorstanders sound in his
listening room. in other words, he's requesting for a home audition of your floorstanders.

btw, are the new floorstanders rf-15, rf-25 and rf-35 already available? btw, going on sale on the old models?

you can contact him at 493-2445 or 0917-436-8764

thanks!

Daichi previously manufactured Klipsch speaker for a short time period, however they have not pass the quality standard set by Klipsch thus they loss the contract.

We took sample of the said models and have it tested, they sound different and the materials used was not the same.

To those who sell a Klipsch look alike, please refrain from claiming it is the same as Klipsch speakers. THEY ARE NOT. To the buyers, please don't be fooled by this rumor...Klipsch doesn't have any manufacturing arrangement in the Philippines.

Moreover, the design of Klipsch speaker are protected with patent right, any manufacturing company or stores that are selling items that have the same design shall be dealt with by us, legally.

This is a warning...makakuha lang kami ng picture dun sa mga store na nagbebenta sila ng items na ganon sarado sila

I have a pair of Klipsch Quartet's...late 80s hand-me-downs.  I got it from my uncle in Hongkong and it's been a few years since I last heard it.  Will probably hook it up soon....

I took a better look at it after finally getting around to taking it out of the attic.  I'm mistaken...it's a pair of Klipsch Forte's.  The veneer is still in great shape and the cones are perfect too....  Can't wait to hook it up...

One question for the Klipsch owners: what speaker wires have you used with your Klipsch?  Any good or bad experiences??

Hi,

I'm also a klipsch speaker owner, my HT setup is:
RF-3 II front
RC-3 II center
SB-2 surround (I wasn't able to find the RS-3 II)

I'm using an onkyo tx-sr800 to drive these and onkyo dv-757 for the player.

Performance:
Audio, its like having the performance in front of you.
Video, with high sensitivity, dialogs are very clear, but not harsh or too bright.

Hi Redkoji,

I am now owner of Klipsch speakers, now I have SB-2 as my main speakers paired with SC-1 center channel and guess what I bought the DTX SB-620 (the look alike), to be my sorrounds. I compared it back to back with the real one, malayo ang tunog. I am not convinced, i check and open both speakers to see what's inside, still there is a big difference cheap ang mga components ng imitation, no wonder they are trying to copy it talaga.

Now I am planning to buy RB-3 to be my new main speakers. KLIPSCH IS THE BEST ON IT'S RANGE!

I have tried B&W 303 and Wharfedale Diamond 8.4, still SB-2 is the best.

Soundstage!
Sensitivity!
Now I'm ready for a Tube Amplifier!!!

I think the Klipsch has a sensitivity of 95db so it would match well with the SETs.

Anybody here can give a review for Klipsch "quintet" - Synergy Series? Is this set of 5 speakers is worth buying for the HT set up?

Cheers,
