just bought a toshiba 32av600 and is very happy w/ the picture quality. had it connected to my pioneer htb (can't recall the model at the moment) via hdmi cable bought at true value.
the htb has a volume control and at one time i set it to zero and noticed that there is no sound coming out from the av600. isn't it that the hdmi cable carries both video and audio? i increased the htb volume and still can't seem to hear sound coming out from the lcd (no vibration when i touch the speakers). the lcd is not connected yet to cable nor antenna but there is sound when i try to view a standard broadcast (noise).
will try this on my non htb player (pioneer w/ hdmi) later but is wondering if this is normal.
