Hi friends!

I know you have been using Med8er 500x...I tried updating the FW to the latest (V4) version available since mine is still the March 2010 version...Followed all the steps to the dot...installation as indicated on the screen was successful -- BUT -- after re-booting/re-starting the unit, after I turn it on, I am stuck w/ the Med8er logo...NAG-HANG!...

Help me naman, friends...

Dapat pala di ko na in-upgrade yung FW...ARGH!

What do I do next??

Have you tried bringing it to the store where you bought it and asked for assistance updating the firmware?

I like the remote, but I'm not sure if I like the new look on the player. It's certainly different. No fan too. I wonder when if the whole unit acts as a heat sink. HDMI 1.4

Namatay si Mede8r 500X ko now lang.... I was just watching battleship then all of a sudden BOOM blank screen....ayaw na mag bukas si Mede8er minsan merong RED na led then minsan wala. Pero ayaw na talaga magboot at lumabas ang BLUE na led....Any advice mga sir's your inputs are highly appreciated. Thanks

It's hard to hear, but my guess is it's probably the main board. Question is, is it still in warranty? Also, when you say BOOM, did you mean there was an explosion or was that just an expression? With the weather lately, it's also probable that there was a power fluctuation that killed your player.

Sir pasensya na expression lang yung BOOM. wala na warranty eh 4 years na eto then all of a sudden ayaw ng gumana. R.I.P mede8er you have served me well.......

I haven't because we just use USB na lang to transfer files. Never had any reason na din to upgrade the capacity of the HDD because mabilis na naman mag-"source" ng movies to play.

for external USB whats the biggest you ve tried 5tb seems to be a problem for this model. adding a player kasi for my mom's place

ok - 2tb sata internal

iba handling nya sa sata sa usb

Try splitting your 4TB to 2 2TB partitions. Baka mabasa.

yan next plan ko , hinayang lang ako mag reformat hehehe sayang copy

i just found out my unitek dual disk cloning cant handle 4tb -> 6tb or 6tb -> 6tb cloning ,

usually kasi when i upgrade to bigger disks i clone (say 1tb, to a 3tb then extend) ,
cant clone 4tb -> 6tb

Hi to 500x owners. Do you all have problems playing big bd files? Mga remux or full bd file? Kasi i experienced before na yun sound cutting off. Putol putol ang sound. I have to test it again. Basta problem ko talaga yun big files.

Im just using the 400x2s and have no issues with remux files.no video/sound stutter. Not sure though with full bd files.

do you play it from usb or from sata? disk speed plays a difference

Meron bang nag re repair ng Mede8er med500x dito sa Metro Manila?

Di tumutuloy mag boot up. Humihinto lang sa opening logo tapos mag restart ulit paulit ulit lang. Baka firmware? Pa repair ko sana para magamit pa. Tia.

Pwede.

Nangyari sa WDTV live ko to recently. I hard reset it 2x via the pinhole and viola! Back to working form! Kaya naisip ko din to sa MED500x kaya lang wala pala syang resent pinhole.

It boots up until the logo. Kaya lang ayaw tumuloy balik restard cycle.

Sa GH ba meron gumagawa ng ganito?

If there are no other ways to reset it, then...
A repair shop that can de/resolder the nand chip and have a tsop flasher can reload the fw.
It may help if you can provide them the firmware file.
Can't suggest a repair center because I also don't know any.
I believe repair centers that repair led tv's have the flasher in their toolbox.
Always wanted to buy one but it's kinda expensive for its use-case.

di ba mas mura to buy a new Android player and connect the drives, than to have the unit repaired?
