@crazyhog: anong AV receiver ang gamit mo?

you want to bit-stream digital audio, so why do you need a video card? unless by HDMI ang pag-bit-stream mo? if by Optical Out, dapat sound card ang bilhin mo but only if your current sound card cannot handle what you want.

i think hindi kaya ng optical mag bitstream ng dtsma, hd or dolby truehd....bitstreaming maybe done thru video card or pwede din thru mobo and cpu combo....intel i3 and up can do it..

Sa mga gumagamit ng bluray player such as Powedvd, TMT and other bluray software that detects cinavia may paraan na para ibypass. Just install anydvd hd and you can bypass the cinavia detection.

Celeron G3930 and an H110-based board with DisplayPort most likely, if you're after UHD 60Hz or UHD HDR. A DP to HDMI 2.0b (HDR) adapter is rare though; DP to HDMI 2.0a is pretty common (no HDR).

Konti ang ITX boards locally with displayport output. If you won't be doing anything intensive, just get any Kaby Lake compatible board and add a GT 1030.

No go kung uhd 60 Hz kelangan mo. Hdmi 1.4 lang native ng Intel sa ngayon kaya kelangan ng DP to HDMI adapter or separate GPU.

If you check max resolution over HDMI, it indicates max res support at 24 Hz. 60 Hz is supported over DisplayPort.

Some boards with Thunderbolt controllers offer HDMI 2.0 onboard. I only know of the Asrock Fatal1ty Z270 Gaming-ITX/ac with this feature in the ITX form factor. However, even these boards don't offer 2.0b.

Geforce GT 1030 and Radeon RX 550 ang cheapest GPUs with HDMI 2.0b outputs (HTPC-oriented GPUs). The GT 1030 is a fraction cheaper, while the RX 550 is a bit faster. They make good Kaby Lake partners.

The GT 1030 is at an advantage at the moment due to recently-released PlayReady 3.0 support.

AMD drivers supporting PlayReady 3.0 is also expected to come out (no date yet).

Ryzen processors currently do not have the DRM functionality of Kaby Lake processors (probably because it does not have a built-in GPU). You can wait for Coffee Lake if you want Ryzen 7 levels of performance in a mainstream package with DRM. I'm guessing Raven Ridge would also be PlayReady 3.0 compliant.
