Hello peeps. Need your help. I'm planning to buy a new LCD TV. Which is better LG LD460 32 or Samsung 32LAC550? I was at megamall yesterday and asked the sales rep. He said that Samsung C550 is 2megapixel while LD460 is just 1megapixel. I dont know if it's true kase both are HD 1080p. Nakakapagtaka din ang price drop ng LD460, it's 21k na lang sa SnS while LAC550 is still at 30k.

wala pang stock sa SnS and dont know kung naayos na yung issue bout backlight bleeding. Pero talagang bang for the buck to.

Its up to you sir. These LCDs can play movies in your USB or external HDD directly.If you need the extra features or the capabilities of an NMT and if you have the extra moolah, then go ahead and buy a NMT.

for me the pq of lg is more control in brightness, samsung is to bright, masakit sa mata n a long run.. atsaka bro meron naman thread si jedi carlo dyan betwen ld460, series 5 dyan. check nlng mga bossing. ang issue lng talaga ng ld460 is baklight bleeding, ang it cannot decode dts yun lng. pero pq bang for d bucks talaga.

Mga masters tanong lang ah kasi kumukuha din ako ng mga opinion dito sa forums kung ano ang pwde namin mabili na LCD TV pang xmas gift sa family ko..napansin ko ang dami nagsasabi na "bang for the buck" yung LG LD460 pero may mga issues like backlight bleeding at di makabasa ng .mkv files unlike Samsung which is obviously a disadvantage when buying a an LG LD460...ano naman po ba yung masasabi nyo na maganda at pangit sa Samsung LCD TVs like yung 32LAC550 or 32C530 (w/c costs mga 22k halos ka price ng LD460)? Thanks!

I guess when it comes to Picture Quality, you'll be the one to decide. Iba-iba naman tayo ng preference. Do an actual audition of both sets. Second, the room and lighting condition of the room where you will place the TV is another factor to consider. Third, if you would like to see the full potential of your LCD, better have it calibrated. Issues on Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Color will be addressed when you calibrate the screen. Again, do make an audition your choosen LCD/s. Madami nang threads dito sa PDVD about LCDs. These are all helpful, but you'll be the one to decide and to buy di ba. Just my two cents...

Check the specs of both models. AFAIK, on paper, the LD460 is better than LAC550. LCDs have shallow blacks compared to Plasma.

Audition both first then sleep it over before making the decision which to buy. Believe me, that would save you frustration in the long run. After auditioning, itulog mo muna bago bumalik sa iyong suking tindahan.

agreed with TimSavvy....
me, it took me 2 weeks on w/c to buy on LD460 or LAC550... both has the same specsa and features, i round-up all department stores and video shops in makati and mandaluyong and compare prices, packages, read shop feedbacks and also item feedbacks.

i end up with LAC550 due to its elegant looks and DTS support, one thing almost the same price as LD460 w/ HT in some shops although i sacrifice the HT 'coz am looking for an lcd tv lang naman.

Buying Samsung saves you 5T more or less from buying a separate media player.
Best value for money.

Tsaka may co-worker ako na gumagamit ng LD460 at ok naman sa kanya ang MKV files, nakakapag-play din naman daw, DTS lang talaga problem niya

im leaning na to buy 37LD460 pero nakita ko ung specs ng 37LAC550.. now nalilito na ako.. hehehe.. for those who bought the sammy C550, natry nyo na po ba gamitin ang LAN nito? and mukhang mas ok sya kasi walang problem sa DTS.. ang di ko lang gusto sa samsung eh may reputation na bad after sales support.. pa advice naman mga masters..

Got my 32LD460 and so far ok na ok cya...played 720p movies via USB and ang ganda ng PQ..will try to play 1080p after I download one....HT nlng kulang ayus na ayus na......lam ko nakadisplay ung Samsung na yan nun sa taas nung LD460 pro mas ok ung PQ ng LD460.... :-)

ngayon ko lang ulit nabisita tong thread na to. I bought my LD460 3 months ago. Mas ok ang PQ nito compared sa Samsung. Ang lakas pa ng sound nung tv mismo. Pwede ka pa makinig ng music while the TV is on eco mode (hibernate mode). Kahit wala na nga HT pwede narin but I got HT805. Superb ang sound. BANG FOR THE BUCK!

the main reason why i got the lg over the samsung is the htib bundle. the 805 is a winner

as for the backlight bleeding, tried looking for it on my unit, seems like wala naman. or hindi ko lang halata (which is good) haha. mine's a dec'10 production unit, bought it late jan'11 at sns
