Tried the single driver route before. These things are very revealing and coherent. Tubes appears to work better with this design. With paper based drivers and tubes - the voices are just right. More realistic than multi driver designs.
Great thing is source for these speakers are not that expensive - flea amps will do
After, the next real problem is getting good music files / recordings (I am shifting to digital files from CD). Reason I changed from this is that most pop recordings sound bad - and thats being kind. But I do listen to a lot of these kinds of recordings...
