Panasonic BD85 Multi Region Blu Ray Player Any Reviews?

It is good, bdp with 7.1 analog out at $200 mark sadly it's already phased out.

this is still available at SnS at 11k...

im not sure if this is different from the one that is already phase out Sir Ricky...

Well if SnS has the bd85 then get it as soon as you can. For the price panalo sya talaga. Last offered at amazon for $250 na. Although if you can extend your budget then the oppo bdp93 is a better buy, sadly twice the price

Not multiregion but you can buy a mod kit to make it region free for both dvd and blu-ray..

It can be bought from ebay and diy lang for us. No need for a technician. No need for soldering anything. Its like plug and play lang.

Much cheaper to just buy the kit rather than buy a modded unit already.

As per SnS:

We have Panasonic BD85 that plays all region on both blu-ray and DVD. This player is P11K.

Yes I heard about these that Sight & Sounds are still selling these, quite highly price for an old model

Hi sir, beg to disagree. This is a bargain at 11t. You'd be lucky to get it at amazon for less than 250$ add ka pa tax and shipping. Also I don't think it can play multi region bd and DVD, well if it does then it's really a bargain. Had I known, would have gotten this instead of the oppo bec it's more than half the price

Unfortunately its not region free.. And pana bd players are good for bd playback but not for dvd playback.. Oppo is excellent for both.. ;-)

Doc I remember you mentioning before that you have multi region player, was it an LG or this PANA model?

at 11k if its really region free, I think it worth buying by just closing our eyes but if its not then its just a bit expensive

Yes my pana bd35 is multiregion for both bd and dvd

if magkaroon na ng budget, mag OPPO nalang ako (great all-rounder except for the MultiRegion part)
