Sir,

May I suggest that you review the DAC being used by the model you have in mind and check on the reviews of CDPs with the same DAC. It is very likely that they will sound very similar. Please check on below list or check with google.

After you audition your desired CDP, it is also a good idea to compare with established vintage CDPs eg Sony Playstation SCPH-1001 or players like Sony ES series, Victor K2, Sansui Alpha etc.
