Sony Bravia KLV-32BX300 review?
« on: Nov 15, 2010 at 11:31 AM »
Anyone has had the chance to audition or own this that can provide a little review?
Searched this forum and some external ones but no luck other than someone saying that it's nice.

Here's the official sony page: http://www.sony.com.ph/product/klv-32bx300

Thanks in advance!   ;D

Update: I ask because there will be a promo this weekend that will allow me to get this unit at 21K after trading in my old CRT TV to charity. The Sony Big Switch Promo. The main competitor here is the much loved LG 32LD460 also at 21K with fullHD. So, which one is the better purchase?

Hi, You cannot go wrong with the sony 32bx300. I own one after I swapped my panasonic 32 lcd. Pictures are crisp even for cable viewing. which incidentally , i use for 85 percent of the time. I have tried it with ps3 and dvd player and its better than my old tv. My only negative comment is about the assignment of channels. Sony is still sony. Get it.

thanks for the response.

the promo also throws in a free sony dvd player... so all in all, a pretty good deal if you count "helping the kids" as part of the package.  :P

i was starting to get tempted to go the LG path since feature-wise they seem to be identical, except LG has the leg up on being 1080 native while sony is still 720. sony is still expensive, considering i will be giving them my old tv.

just curious as to how this tv stacks up to the current best buy LG.

decisions...  ;D

BTW, what's wrong with the channel assignment?

medyo mahal pa rin.  consolation na lang is the free dvd player (di ba mapili ang sony) and you get to help charity.

The good thing about Sony is that you get a 2-year warranty.

Neither LG nor Toshiba can offer you that.

Plus, its a SONY. You can't possibly go wrong with one.

Plus, you get an HD-capable DVD.

Plus, your old CRT-TV will be put to good use!

i feel guilty, as though i failed the kids.  :-[

i just bought an LG 37LD460 instead of this Bravia. I would've liked to avail of their promo but i got bit by the upgrade bug and upped to a 37 incher.

thanks for the responses though.

i hope Sony does get a lot of CRT tv's this weekend and that they really give those to charity.

I bought this 32BX300 end of 2010 with free Sony upscale DVD player.
The frame and physical aspects of the LCD is great. The remote control feel and function is top notch and looks and feel really high end and with great material production unlike almost all remote controllers out there that looks like generic remote.

I also love the warm color reminiscent of all Sony CRTV. Overall, I highly recommend this LCD TV and is a great CRTV replacement.

Has anyone experienced any errors with the KLV-32BX300? Im also planning to buy one.
Read in some forums about the Bravia's Ghosting problem, just wanted to check if anyone encountered problems.

Hi, I'm new in this forum. Just got my Sony 32BX300. I also looked intently at the LG 32LD460, LG 32LE5300, Samsung, and even DeVant. But the 32BX300 was too hard to pass up. Yes, it's a little costlier than the others, but it came with an upscaled DVD player, so bawi na rin. Na-temp talaga ako sa LG 32LE5500 kasi LED na siya, manipis, at Full HD. But I was able to compare it with the BX300 side-by-side sa SM Makati, and I still settled for the HD-Ready only, LCD, and thicker BX300. That tells you something about the value I saw in the Sony model. Both models have 10w x 2 hidden speakers. Pero mas malakas at buo ang sound Sony, which is big a plus for me, coz I'm not planning to connect a home theatre to it, native lang. Yung HD Ready vs. Full HD argument doesn't count much coz it's only 32in. Plus, I'm going to connect my son's PS3 with it. Kaya no-brainer talaga na I decided to go Sony. Mind you, I'm not a Sony loyalist. I always compare stuff before I buy. But I'm really happy that I bought this product. But for those who value aesthetics more (than me), I suggest you look at the LG 32LE5300. It currently retails at P27K yata, plus free wall bracket. That was my second choice in the 32in category. Cheers!

I think the bundled upscale Sony DVD player made this unit sweeter. Mas ok talag kung sam brand unit mo. It is really a sync to use a Sony LCD with a Sony DVD player and a Sony PS3. Match talaga to.

OT: I also have a Toshiba RV700. I am satisfied with this Full LCD unit pero di ako happy dun sa separate DVD player na binili ko - Pioneer upscale unit (forgot the model), simply because sa remote controls nila. What's wosrt is that these 2 remotes have the exact size and color making it difficult to use at night!!!

Overall I bought these last xmas: 1) Toshiba RV700 with Pioneer DVD upscale player and 2) Sony 32BX300 with the bundled Sony DVD player. And guess what... I am happiest with the #2 purchase (I should have bought 2 of Sony's units instead).

hello po,

I'm Torn of what 32inch LCD HDTV to buy for Gaming(XBOX 360 Slim)/Cable TV/DVD Movies...
but SONY is really my very first Choice..kasi subok na sa Quality
(as in ung unang 14inch colored TV namin way-back in the 90's tumagal na ng 18+years and still running)
ganun katibay ang sony at maganda pa ung color..

gustu ko talaga tong 32BX300 (stylish, modern, minimalist/timeless design, matte finish)
khit 720p lng, di naman daw gnun kailangan ng 1080p sa 32inches below..db?

kaso mejo nalilito ako from seeing SAMSUNG & LG Displays' with nice picture contrast...
tas 19k pa prices nila vs SONY's 22k..

I wonder magkano prices ng tatlong to sa SIGHT&SOUNDS..

Hope some expert can help me decide and lighten me up and compare the three..
PLS HELP.. :(

nasa 21K cash or straight sa credit card sa SnS. Add 5k For DAVTZ210.
Sa rob mall nakita ko 21k + DVD player, sayang we already bought Sammy days before seing the 32BX300 but it's okay naman.

bravias are a good safe choice, though they're usually more expensive than other major brands.

don't rush getting an lcd! identify your priorities (size, power consumption, picture quality, connectivity, etc) and usage (movies, gaming, cable, etc). each LCD has its pros and cons.

if you have to rush it, get a major brand (like sony, samsung, lg, toshiba, panasonic). the quality and after-sales-service peace of mind is worth the higher price tag. :)

Yung HD Ready vs. Full HD argument doesn't count much coz it's only 32in. Plus, I'm going to connect my son's PS3 with it. Kaya no-brainer talaga na I decided to go Sony.

the sony-sony bravia sync is quite useful. although, a lot of very good ps3 games are designed for full-hd 1080p. personally, noticeable yung difference even at 32in, although 720p is already jaw-dropping :)

Yup a good buy, especially if bundled with sony dvd player, even more if the player has hdmi

I think the besides the picture quality, highlights of this unit is the XMB user interface, improved usb playback of movies.

btw, I also bougth this unit

recently acquired a pre owned 32bx300 lcd tv...

very basic, solid, and efficient design...

really a good value entry level LCD TV...

Sony quality is undisputed and well regarded...

Very happy with my recent purchase...

Perfect for daily cable use and it also doubles as my MPB's external monitor...

IQ is superb...

Hello, im buying a 32bx300 in relatively a relatively fresh condition with stickers still intact on the screen. Used for a couple of years then stored. What would be a fair  and just price for this? Thanks
