noise due to scratches (especially deep ones) might not be removed by cleaner solution.. but noise caused by grime and dust/dirt might be significantly removed.
i use DIY record cleaner solution which you already mentioned (300cc 70% isopropyl alcohol + 700cc distilled water + 8~15 drops of joy ultra = 1 liter solution).
this DIY rcs work well with my AC powered
record cleaner machine (brush and vacuum cycle on a rotating platter)... the vacuum is very powerful that it suck up dirt and solution and dries up each side of the LP in less than 3 rotation... without the RCM, i can not imagine washing off and drying within 3 minutes per LP.. rcm comes with a brush that digs in and remove dirt from the grooves... DIY rcs enhance removal.
98+ % of pops and click due to dirt and grime are removed.
btw, i wear ear protection/sound suppressor as the RCM is very noisy when it is on vacuum stage (100+db measured within 2 feet distance)
