We should not buy those bootleg discs. thanks the_works for posting the video showing fake bd's. it will help enlighten our members regarding the pirated discs.

happy to inform people about it. I just wish i could reach out to those poor buyers in sulit who think that they are getting Original blu rays when they buy those expensive FAKES labeled as Hong Kong blu ray. tsk tsk.

Nakabili din ako 1 item before sa seller na yun sa Sulit, then nakita ko black ang color nung disc
at wala yung ibang features ng movie. Called up the seller pero wala na response.

yung unang link obvious japeks, hindi pa nga released ang avengers 3d eh. marami na rin nakabili sa kanya
yung second link looks familiar, pinost niya lahat ng titles (new titles) ng sellers dito including mine + profit

not sure about the third one, wala kasi siyang sinabing galing hongkong mga blurays niya

yung second one naloko yung brother ko bumili ng transformers. the same transformers na fake, nakita ko nandun sa pics sa 3rd link.

to everyone: just always be careful sa pagtingin ng blu rays. buti na lang we have trusted sellers here on pdvd.

tsk tsk, hopefully yung nabili ko last year ay hindi fake (transformers 1 (2-disc) pa sya kso iba cover nya - walang title na transformers nakalagy kundi yung side view picture ni optimus prime.

single discs lang pag pirated, afaik. walang extra discs. check the color of the bottom disc din. if dark blue most likely fake. although meron ding fake na hindi dark blue yung bottom ng disc. kaya mahirap na talaga malaman.

Expensive pa rin ang mga fake discs which might fool the uninformed. It's best for me to stick with the sellers I've transacted with before na lang and those who have been selling here for quite a while

that's right. the best deals are here. at least wala akong alam na nagbebenta ng japeyks. they'd be found out right away din naman if ever.

UPDATE:

I went to Metrowalk earlier today. I checked the pirated dvd stalls and asked about blu rays. Lo and behold, available nga dun. Both the DVD9 fakes and the real blu ray imitation. Dinaldal ko yung nagbebenta. Apparently nung April this year lang dumating sa Metrowalk yung mga ganun. They're selling it at 400pesos and willing siya bumaba hanggang 300pesos. haha

Mga 25gig blu rays yung andun. wala ako nakita 50gig. Certified 100% "Hong Kong" blu ray japeyks. So again, iwas iwas sa Sulit website sa mga "Hong Kong" blu ray kasi peke yun. 750pesos ang bentahan pero 300-400 pesos lang at your local pirated store. hahaha

Nabiktima na rin ako nito. alam na ni the works and sir anya ito.
As far as quality goes... well... i am no hardcore video and audio guru, pero wala ako masyadong diff na nakikita btween these and the origs that i own. kumpleto yung mga extra and special features nya. I own about 8 japeyks titles P350 kuha ko sa contact ko from moonwalk paranaque.

Pero im not one for bootlegs.
Kung PS3 nga at xbox360 puro originals ang games ko, sa movies pa? There is so much more value that you put in to something legit vs something dodgy.

actually, di nga halata kasi HD talaga and maganda kopya ng movie ng mga japeyks na yan. Nahalata ko lang when I played sa PS3 kasi yung video bitrate ng mga japeyks, mas mababa compared sa Orig. Check mo yan sir by pressing select during playback. Yun lang naman yata plus you're lucky kasi gumagana yung extras/bonuses. Malas lang sa japeyks pag yung orig eh nilagay sa extra BD yung mga extras/bonus features.

sayang lang talaga pera jan sa mga japeyks na yan. meron dito sa PDVD new member nagbebenta before (hanggang ngayon yata, sa Sulit) ng mga Hong Kong blu ray. presyo pa nya is 750. blujono yata name nya dito. haha. ingat lang mga braders. make sure orig binibili nyo para di sayang pera

Last year, I got one here in PDVD. Hindi pa uso nun kaya I thought it was original. Pero wala siyang special features. I finally got an original copy nung nasa US ako. And tama yung observations na lower SQ yung pirated copy compared to the original. Had tested it myself on 3 BD players including PS3.
Charge to experience na lang.

The guy talks too lowly about the bootleg, yet he himself owned quite a number of it... How many do you really need to do a youtube demo? Something fishy here. Ang sweet mo naman, gumastos ka pa para ma 'inform' kami.

bro, I know the guy who made the vid. yung dvd9 binili nya daw to see how it actually looks. yung blu ray na japeyks nagoyo din siya nung nagbebenta sa sulit na andito na sa pdvd. sa amazon na siya bumibili after discovering the fake blu rays. haha

orig daw yung mga di pinakita. (i noticed LOTR Extended Trilogy set)

anyway, sa mga bago sa blu ray, ingat lang talaga. buy from trusted sellers na lang.

If that is the case, then i feel sorry for your friend since he and i suffered the same fate.

However - what led me to my assumptions above was the fact that i saw several bootleg blurays and bluray ripped dvds.

Oh, and toward the end of the video, he mentioned, and i quote "i bought these fake blurays to inform people that these are available in the market and to inform people that fake blurays exist"

Which leads me to ask.

1. How many do you really need to purchase to prove that what you have is not the real thing?

2. That is about a thousand peso investment on the 3 bootleg blurays. That's rather charitable and noble consodering that the purpose is 'to inform people that fake blurays exist'

This statement alone made it seem that he knew what he was buying and was not fooled into buying them. i would have thought differently if he mentioned that he was fooled by a seller into thinking they were real ones.

Pero of course, benefit of the doubt na lang. And like i said, i feel sorry that both he and i were fooled into buying dodgy blurays...

That's all im sayin.

And oh yeah, i also saw the pile of origs. i have the lotr ee collection too! My very first transaction with sir anya!

Masaklap jan sir yung blu ray na fake daw, 5 nabili nya from the new member here. Sinabi din daw sakanya na hong kong blu ray. Told him mura nga if brand new yun so he bought it and bowm, japeyks.haha

Pati brother ko nabiktima din ng isa pang tagasulit. Transformers binili nya, japeyks! Haha

I guess yung dvd9 yung sadya nyang binili talaga. Ive seen those din sa mga dvd pirate stalls. Kala ko din blu ray quality. Nung tinest, ampanget! Haha

Pero yung blu ray japeyks, mahirap madistinguish yung vid quality from d orig. HD na din kasi. :/ packaging na lang talaga babantayan ng buyers.

Yup! Need to watch out these days. Your friend did very well manage to point out most of the japeyks tell tales. And as mentioned, they also need to watch out for those 50 or 25 gig stickers too. Wala pa akong nabibili na orig na may mga sticker na ganon.
