Mga sirs. Mag tatanung lang po. I recently got expendables dvd from my auntie as a balikbayan pasalubong.

pag check ko po nung disc, after tanggalin yung packaging, the disc itself is fine. However, upon playing it on my player, i noticed that medyo nag skip sya continously. So I did was, I ejected the disc, and to my surprise, nagkaron ng mga scratches ang disc. nung una inisip ko siguro kailangan lang linisin yung sa player. So inserted my philips lens cleaner hoping that it will resolve the issue. But after the process the issue persists. Nag continous skip yung dvd.

The worst thing is, I noticed na may parang black sa edge ng disc. Is this a sign of disc rot?

Sayang kung nagkataon yung disc, padala pa naman.

Sir, Ano po ang brand and model nang DVD player mo? I used to have a nextbase DVD player, When I insert a disc na walang gasgas, and view the movie, later nag-skip na sya and pag na eject nang yung DVD, may circular na gasgas na yung DVD, from then on, di na ko bumili nang mga generic na DVD players

yung brand ng HT ko ay. LG HT554tm

I think, as a last resort, I would try to back up the disc. If it still fails, wala na magagawa

Pag may perfectly circular na gasgas sa disc, may internal part na sumayad sa disc while the disc was spinning.  

Siguro sumayad ang pickup assembly, wala sa alignment.  Minsan may dumi, umipit between the lens and the disc while the disc is spinning, causing a perfectly circular scratch.

I tried playing the said dvd on my old LG player (6 years na rin)

I am almost halfway on the film, and nag run sya ng walang skips.

I suspect it na on my other HT player yung issue. Siguro, I wil just have to call LG for a service to it.
