i have this 1055+ and the 1073+ as well.

on the 1055+ i'd tested, using a BD-Structure format movie, you have to go down to the streams folder in order to play the movie   :(, 1073+ handles bd structure well, nag pe play agad directly.

advantage talaga din yung drive bay sa gilid nito, lalo na sa maraming hard disks, no screws involve  :)

but both players are superb, relative to my previous players (hdpro-s, xtreamer, wdtv)

Just got a 1055 plus from power win. Service was pretty friendly but unfortunately you only get to test the mt on rca cables. They don't have an hdmi or component cable capable display at the store so you have to wait till you get home to push the envelope. Putting it through the motions now with hd samplers (.m2ts format) from different manufacturers. Speedy boot up and read time as compared to the cinema tube but remote is a bit sluggish in response time. Pq is comparable to the cinema tube but a big plus for me is the subtitle menu. When you press the subtitle button it brings up the subtitle menu options on the upper right hand side of the screen (language, alignment, size, color, etc).  Big plus for me since I like to see the options I have available in one go. Does not have a full screen option (max ratio is 16:10) and a button to return to the root menu.  Lacks usb ports for me since you only have 1 to plug in external sources to. Solution is to attach a port replicator.  IMO, this mt is kind of like the MED300X (same chipset, no network capabilities)but at a fraction of the cost. Easily played the videos not supported on cinema tube and Med 500x and a very good entry level media player.

Hi KAIBOER H1055/ KAIBOER H1055 plus users. If you have time, please post some screenshot of the interface to make it more appealing. Does it true that it has some chinese characters on it?  :-\ I want to try NMT sana and this is the one I can see na swak sa budget ko ngayon. TIA!  :D

I think you got the 1055 not the 1055 plus.  The other port for the 1055 plus is to slave it to a pc for easier file transfer and editing. If you did get a 1055 plus with an extra usb port then there must be something wrong with Kaiboer quality control. ;D

Sorry for the misunderstanding. So it's only 1 USB port (host) for the H1055 plus and 2 USB ports for H1055. But then... how come the Kaiboer website and also the Iboum and Futeco websites state there are 2 USB host ports and 1 USB slaveforPC port for the plus model???

also have my 1055+ and yes it's bang for the buck...it boots fast.. and +1 for the subtitle option. ;D

my only cons as per testing it is the remote responsiveness, you must point it always direct to the unit and no fullscreen option. :o

Can the SlaveforPC USB port of the H1055+ be used as a host also?

What is this "full screen" option that is missing? What is the screen output then?

I'm thinking that he means that there is no 4:3 AR option. Is this the case Bluebeard?

Screen outputs for this unit are 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10.
Unlike my HDPro, where there is a FIT option that removes the black portions in the 16:9 video mode without left right picture reduction; the H1055 only has the ZOOM function (2x upto 8x) but reduces left and right panels.

so happy with my 1055 plus, after setting it up ang bilis ng boot tpos sandali lng din detect nya n ung 320g external drive ko. Watched 5 movies kagabi 1 am n ko natapos hehehe after watching i touched the unit it wasn't hot at all. I'm content with this unit biruin mo for the price, anyway ung s full screen option nga lng talaga ang wala set na ang screen ratio.

The missus and the kids are using it right now watching brainy baby, hehehe.

walang network capabilities ang 1055 chipset.  so MT lang siya (not NMT).

Nope...the 1055 chipset was designed as a HDD Media player and has no capability for networking

@paolorenzo and alfie,
thanks for the info.  It's still going to be cheaper to buy this + a 320gb internal drive than a measy or the like.

^^ yes sir definitely cheaper, tsaka ung unit worth ng price nya. It may not have those bells and whistle but it certainly does the job it supposed to do.

Pero sana ung remote nya mas responsive meron bang ibang remote n pwede dito mga sir?
