Firmware upgrade notes:
1. Make sure USB is blank and formatted using Fat32 system.
2. Please make sure that you download the correct firmware for the
HD media player model you have. Downloading the incorrect firmware and plugging the usb drive to the player will bricked the unit and void the warranty.
3. Make sure when upgrading the firmware that you plug the unit to UPS. Power interruption during firmware upgrade process will bricked the unit.
4. If you are not sure, we can upgrade the firmware for you.
5. We will accept bricked unit and will send it to factory for repair for a service fee.

Firmware upload date:01/23/2011

Firmware version information = 335473, firmware date = 20101115 download here

If your media player firmware version is 335473 and firmware date is 20101115, then there is no need to update.

Firmware is for both h1055 and h1055plus HD media player.
Firmware features:
1. Update and optimize remote control on/off function.2. Fixed H1055Plus hard disk tray issue.
3. Fixed DTS-HD 7.1 issue.
4. Update movie file search function.
5. Upgrade some system features.

sir.. tanong ko lang po.. with this unit po ba... maplplay na kung ano ano? pati mga vlc.. korean movies na may subtitle.. hehe

sa pc ko kasi i use alot of players.. hindi kasi lahat na player kaya lahat na format...
i use vlc, haihaisoft, wmp classic and wmp...

I don't have the Kaiboer, but basing on the posts here, GUI looks similar to Measy. Basic difference would probably be ung networking capability of the Measy Player. I think HD Media Tank lang ang Kaiober.

Eto ah, may measy ako, on my own preferences sa ngaun magpapalit ako ng H1055plus (dapat kanina), why? Like measy, more features like networking etc etc has more procesing to perform by the chipset/processor. Just IMAGINE na lang a faster chipset like the ones used by H1055plus will process lesser simple features, e di ang bilis, Gets niyo ako? If you dont use networking, go get the H1055 plus.

Answer : One thing I dont like with measy is the REMOTE CONTROL. Very limited angle coverage. Need mo talaga itutok ng husto sa unit specially if medyo malayo ka. Eh nabasa ko na may nagkakaproblema na din sa remote ng H1055, ayan nag dadalawang isip na ako.

Got the Kaiboer h1055+ last week mabilis ang boot, simple ang GUI. one problem lang naencounter ko, may conflict ang remote control sa LG Plasma. Nagsasapawan sila.

Im still using my HD-Pro for the LG Plasma, sa Samsung LCD ko na lang ginagamit tong Kaiboer.

Tungkol sa Remote, wala akong problema....mayroon akoong 1055 at 1055plus....napaka-responsive nang remote ko, at ang saya ko noon nalaman ko na nag-re-espond sa 1055plus and remote nang 1055(sabi kasi sa akin nang vendor, dehins daw responsive).

Ginara'ye ko muna ang 1055 ko at 1055 plus ang gamit ko(dalawa ang remote ko he-he)....ang gamit kong amplifier dito ay Pioneer, sensitive sa pioneer remote ang 1055plus(pero ang Pioneer di' nag resrespond)...kaya inilayo ko na lang sa ibang direction, kundi, minsan bigla na lang may ibang response, mabuti sana kung error signal lang ang binibigay.

Walang LCD display...he-he...eh' di na 2.5K ang presyo niyan...he-he.
sa 1073 plus may counter, hindi parin LCD display(ang pinakmurang LCD ay iyun' sa PSP...Php4.5 yata)

^^yup ang makikita mo lng s harapan ung logo ng Kaiboer red if standby blue kapag on use, pero ganda p rin nga tignan.

tuwang tuwa ako sa 1055 plus ko pag uwi ko nuod kaagad 3 movies everyday kaya laging 1am na ko matulog.

Di ko ma gets kung bakit may internal hard drive ang 1055 plus. Since walang networking, kailangan mo pa saksakan ng external USB drive para maglipat ng files diba? At kaunit na lang dagdagan mo, makakabili ka na ng M1073. Ang only advantage nakita ko ay mabilis mag boot?

di sya kasing responsive ng hd-pro at xtreamer remote control. pero for 3.5k, oks na oks pa din. actually ang problema ko lang talaga e nacocontrol ng remote ng LG ang kaiboer and vice versa. gusto ko kasi talagang ilagay tong kaiboer sa main ht room, kaso nga may conflict.

Bro Thames,

I beg to differ on this point. My xtreamer, my bro-in-law and sister's remote SUCKS big time on response. Matigas ang buttons and its so small compared to the Kaiboer. I love the remote of my EG-31B the best! This is my observation but other than that Xtreamer still holds it ground being the most compact complete NMT package. I love all of them anyway!

Got my Kaiboer 1055+ last week...ganyan din issue ko sa remote. hehehe im also using an LG LCDTV. When i pressed some functions sa remote it alters my TV settings same din pag gamit ko remote ng TV I think that's because generic yung ginamit na infrared ng LG..Overall i'm very satisfied with my Kaiboer 1055+.

I also own a Xtreamer Pro both have the same performance in terms of movie playback. Mas mabilis naman ung Kaiboer in terms of navigating the menus even if movie preview mode is enabled smooth parin unlike sa Xtreamer na my delay.

Regarding sa remote for me hindi ganun ka-wide yung cover ng signal you have to point it straight sa unit.

Patay! ang LCD ko pa naman ay LG 37LD460. Wala siyang conflict sa remote ng measy ko ngaun .. gusto ko pa naman ung H1055 sana.

Ano ba mga bosing model ng LG LCD TV niyo? Bka walang conflict sa LG 2010 models like XXLD460.

Ako may LG Scarlet 42" Hindi conflict....may mga buttons na nag-re-respond ang LG, so, kung nag-play na...OK ka na...ang solution, ilagay sa mas ma-ba-ba ang Kaiboer, at lapitan ang media player para sa remote, kasi kung basta ano anong angle lang talagang may respond ang LG.

Yes sir it will work... you can set the SPDIF ng MT mo to RAW para process ng HTIB mo yung audio signal...
Down side is pag DVD na panonoorin mo.. you have to pull-out the HDMI cable sa TV mo which masama kung tangal kabit ka..

I'm currently using my LG 32LD460 sa room ko my conflict siya sa remote. But when I tried connecting it with the other TV dito sa bahay which is a Sony LED TV so far wala naman conflict.

Buy the HDMI switcher, very cheapo at CDR-King and highly efficient, I've been using two for at least a year now.

sa akin din ung kaiboer ko nagrereact s pioneer dvd remote ko, buti puro error nalabas s command nya biruon mo kung biglang nag stop ung movie while watching??? kainis un pero ung lng naman otherwise oki ang kaiboer.

Aside from the additional P1000 on the pricetag of the 1055Plus, it has a retractable HDD tray for 3.5" drives. Since it has a drive bay built in, it only has 1 other host USB port (the other one is used up by the HDD tray). Both 1055 and 1055Plus share the same firmware.
