I'm using Panasonic Viera Plasma. For some reason connecting my Imation 1TB HDD the HDD will power up and plasma will detect the usb device to have connected but displays "No device inserted." Can't seem to read the HDD.

-PC reads HDD without a prob.
-I also formatted the HDD to exFat as the plasma only supports exfat/fat32/16.
-voltage requirement met. 5v
-HDD usb 3.0.  Plasma is 2.0.
-Plasma reads other small usb flash devices and toshiba 1TB.
-Updated Viera firmware to latest already.

Is there something else I should try that might solve my problem?
