Yup, that was James Purefoy. He seems well suited for period dramas.

Yes it seems to be that way. Remember he was also Colville, the Prince who knighted Heath Ledger in Knights Tale.

His next movie is Heaven and Earth were he plays Lord Charles Sommerset, though drama ito pero royalty pa din siya.

wait till you watch ep 04 hehe. They are really putting new twists to the Arthurian legend by incorporating new ideas that seem far fetched before while trying to make it look that it is feasible to happen with basis to the original tale... minsan tuloy nakakalito.. though for me maganda pa naman takbo nung series kahit papano.

Starz Not Moving Forward with Camelot
Source: Starz
June 30, 2011

Starz announced today that the cable channel is not moving forward with a second season of "Camelot":

"Due to significant production challenges, Starz has decided not to exercise the option for subsequent seasons of Camelot with our production partners GK-tv, Octagon Films and Take 5 Productions," a representative stated.

The series premiered in April and starred Jamie Campbell Bower as Arthur, Joseph Fiennes as Merlin, Eva Green as the sorceress Morgan, Tamsin Egerton as Guinevere, Claire Forlani as Igraine and Peter Mooney as Kay.

Another failed series for Joseph Fiennes. He just can't seem to catch a break. I'm not surprised though, I tuned off after the third episode mainly because of Jamie Campbell Bower, who doesn't have the charisma to pull of his character. And his Arthur is sooo whiny and self centered.

I think Eva Green was the lone bright spot in the cast. The character who played the lead role, Arthur was kindda weak. The series was good initially, then slowly regressed due to bad writing (I think). I remember there was this battle scene in Bardon Pass where only a handful of people were involved. Plus they killed the major characters (Leontes & Igraine). Could they be preparing for the arrival of Lancelot in Season 2?

They writers should have killed Arthur instead, and continued on with the series with Eva Green in the lead. More n@ked Eva Green!  ;D

wala na ba talagang season 2 nito? just finished season 1 and for me maganda naman sya. sana ituloy nila 'to pwede naman palitan yung King Arthur palabasin after a few years or a decade has passed already since the happenings in season one. get an older Arthur but syempre stay pa rin yung Guinevere hehehe ;D

Resurrecting this thread ... I had a copy of the first season in HD for quite a long time and hadn't watched it ... I've been a fan of the King Arthur and Excalibur story, hence I obtained a copy, but never had a chance to watch it ... This morning, I was backing up files and cleaning up my hdds to make way for a backup as one of my 3tb hdds had to be shipped for warranty claims - I chanced upon this tv series and took a glimpse before deciding whether to delete it or not ... good thing I did not delete it, got hooked immediately and already watched the first 6 episodes in one go.

Too bad that there's no season 2 for this ... I like the story and the plot, quite a different twist compared to the other Camelot and King Arthur stories ... Eva Green and Tamsin Egerton are sizzling HOT

At least he has American Horror Story: Asylum to keep him occupied
