Topic: Xvid question

i downloaded a xvid file with ac3(5.1) track. my question here is, if i burn this file directly to a dvd-r and play it thru a dvix/xvid capable dvd player and connect the player to a receiver w/DD&DTS encoding via coaxial, will the receiver be able to identify the audio track as discrete 5.1? has any body here tried this before? TIA

based on my experience stereo lang well baka rin kasi mumurahin din lang ang setup ko
