Just wanna share some learning in a recent room acoustic session:

The left and right walls is recommended to be splayed or slanted and not straight. This provided a big help in the reduction of room treatment. It reduces the reflected sound waves from going to the listener. Following are examples

You can also implement it in the ceiling to have the same effect ...... lessening echos or reflection

You are correct with the narrow part being the stage or source of sound.

That's good and correct option not to have parallel walls, floor and ceiling. But this treatment will result in losing some valuable space in the room. With proper use of acoustic materials as per specs and correct placement in the room will achieve the same result.

Hindi naman lagi nasusunod ang golden ratio, maliban lang kun malaki ang space at pwesto ng room sa existing structure.

Meron ako post ng theater / auditorium build di ko lang na a update dahil lagi busy pero meron ko mga pictures ng work progress at kompleto rin ako ng data lalo na sa acoustic treatment. Ung maliit na theater rectangular shape pero pa halang ang orientation. Wala naman objection dito ang acoutic consultant at pumasa naman sa analysis basta masunod lang ang recommended treatment.
