try mo na i plug yung end sa USB 2.0 lang, i think USB 3.0 is downward compatible.

good. Ano kaya and  actual transfer speeds ng USB 3.0. like 3.0 to 3.0 copying or 3.0 to SATA copying ng big chunk files like our MKVs?
Skeptical kasi ako when i see the rates and i still think SATA to SATA is faster by a considerable margin, but i guess mas madaling magkaroon ng USB 3.0 in the future than an external SATA.

1.0.2.6 buggy, hangs when it goes to sleep. minsan stop, and resume playback hang din, kahit remote ayaw na.

upgrade ka sa 1.0.3.2,
i am on 1.0.3.3 may subtitle garbage sa harap when using subtitle so 1.0.3.2 ka muna

@toys4geeks
Yes, I experienced the same problems too. Mas ok pala ang K1055.
Any suggestions to fix this?

Thank you.

grab the 1.3.3.4 and install, read problem goes away, but have not had time to try it.

I still like 600B over K anyday :) mukang worth the buck ang look and feel nya pero, I ordered 3 Measy X6 for a few friends, I think patok yun.

Me problema ang 1055/600B when playing flacs. The higher you set the volume,
the greater the distortion being introduced.

Some issues regarding nmts for audio use:

From the Mede8er forum:

Quote
"The Med, like all realtek mediplayers, have deficiencies which drive audiophiles mad! No gapless playback, and the clipping of the first half second of audio are well reported and seem firmly stuck in the design without a firmware solution possible. They don't maintain a null pcm stream between tracks causing all kind of noise from audiophile DACS, which dosn't happen to most surround amps as they are designed to cope with changing streams."

"The one bright thing Sigma Designs did is porting XBMC to their chipsets, that will put a serious dent in most of the competition if XBMC players start shipping on the market." (Sigma supports gapless for wavs, small flacs).

Kindly check out  egreat S7A /S7A Pro is on sale -- NMT is  sigma designs 8655 based, and has unique 5.1 audio

fw support autoplay on bootup (reads a particular folder and plays em for you, which may include picture/movies/audio). so powering up the NMT hooked to an audio device would not require your LCD on 100% to play, thanks to its autoplay function

http://toys4geeks.nexus.ph for the S7A video/specs
or  jump to toys4geeks' Marketplace/Video Sources

I bought my Himedia HD 600B last month from Digitag and upgraded from Xtreamer, WD Media Player & have Roku XDS for online video streaming.

Here's why it's impressed me so far:

-7.1 DTS HD Master Audio raw output to my Onkyo receiver a sonic revelation compared to the previous ordinary NMT HDMI pass through.

-Interface is fast, clean and response is snappy. Video quality is stable and more refined that my previous.

-I'm done with fans; this never gets hot at all and is dead quiet. Xtreamer started get weird and noisy after 2 years. Fanless is greatness.

-The aluminum shell is gorgeous, and the one click open and internal hard drive is genius; this will be imitated & will definitely put Himedia in the NMT map

-Remote is the best for an NMT I have tested. So intuitive and feels expensive compared to the cheap feeling China brands

-DLNA & Samba functionality are also bonus expansion features and built-in antenna-free wireless is responsive. I have made it work streaming media from my Android phone via free app iMediaShare . I have a Sapido GR-1222 media router with Samba and will be connecting it HiMedia soon to stream HD videos wirelessly.

-The online channels display is clean and really works. Though not also smooth as Roku, it's decent and really works, with video, audio podcast and as well as the usual suspects like Youtube.

Having bought Xteamer & WD Media one month after their release, I have continued the pioneering risk by getting Himedia 600B after it's May international release. Considering it has all these features and more for NMT double the price, it is definitely groundbreaking.

Oh boy, my 600B internal SATA connector died, tried reseating several times.
external bare SATA is working though, seen as USB.

Its a good thing the disk is intact though, warranty pa naman :)

Sirs, does anybody experienced this on you 600b? I've upgraded to the fw to 1.0.3.4 and while watching a movie and tried stopping dahil call of nature,  tapos noong play ko ulit nag play from the beginning tapos noong resume ko kung saan yung last scene, nag punta sa last scene pero stop yung video pero yung audio tuloy parin. I have tried another file format pero same pa rin siya. Have tried to play ulit from the beggining but this time using the time seek button pero ganoon din when it goes to the scene. The video freezes while audio is still playing. Kaya nag tiyaga muna na nanood from the beginning at di na inistop.

am on 1.0.3.3 and that's worse, coz it hangs. period. even the remote wont let your power off. I guess that's a bug. I notice most of the bugs are may be related to being green " sleep mode" of disks.  not sure if your fw allow you to disable green (i.e. keep the disk.)
did you pause or did you stop?

yes i have stop the movie but when i've played it again nag hang na yung video when seeking the last scene. one thing i have noticed during this process  is that i'm playing a mp4 video at internal hdd siya , so i have tested it again using a external drive and now a different video format mkv and it plays okay using time seek button.  tested in stop and start to the last scene okay din siya. Also when safely shutting down nag hang din siya it says "power off" hanggang doon na lang.

put up with the current version of FW,
as a workaround when you need to stop:
- suggest you press info, check the time played, para you can just seek the spot via the search button.
escalate to himedia support, wait for the next release siguro.

I still think its green (disk power down ) feature might be interfering, pero kailangan nya yun kasi wala ngang fan.

I just realized In order to maximize the interface

I have to organize my files properly so hd600 can display it nicely

I used thumbgen.org and worked well for movies

Is there any similar program for mp3s?

What is the preferred way of organizing music files

Artist first or album first?

appreciate your suggestions

Cheers

Just discovered how to use the BT.

1. Goto setup>network and activate Samba and BT
2. Goto Network Info and check the IP address of HD600A
3. Goto your PC internet browser and input the IP address. (take note PC browser)
4. You'll see a login screen, default login/password is admin/123
5. You'll be able to do ur BT download settings and insert .torrent files there.
