Zombadings 1: Patayin Sa Shokot Si Remington (Jade Castro) **** - To put it quite simply: It's one of the best films of the year. A homophobic little boy fond of mocking gays finds himself cursed to turn homo when he grows up. This film is a refreshingly original, infectious comedy-horror flick which is, and I'm not exaggerating here, destined to turn into a Filipino cult comedy classic. It's wonderfully demented, wickedly funny and campy in the best sense of the word. This is really a must-see.

So glad that quite a number of Filipino films from CineMalaya are getting commercial theatrical releases. There is hope for the Filipino film industry. If only all the films in the MMFF were this good!

uh-oh, kasabay daw ng opening nito ang "No other woman" starring Cristine Reyes and Anne Curtis from Star Cinema ...sana suportahan natin ang indie movie na Ligo na U!  tsk-tsk, ang liit na lang nga ng movie industry, kapwa pinoy pa nagsasalpukan sa takilya... but there's hope...natalo nga daw ng zombadings ang "Wedding tayo..." let's vote with our wallets! or bawas muna sa starbucks and watch both films! ;D

Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa was pulled out by Robinson's Cinema last minute due to Hollywood flicks and some productions.

Well looks like same scenario what happened between Zombadings and that Star Cinema flick!

^still a sad state for our local cinema, movie-goers would still prefer trash over treasure...

If the moviegoers will not really patronize those good indies, and there are gems to distinguish from the trashy ones....chances are pulled out na talaga sa mga sinehan.

Sad reality indeed.
