^ Read somewhere that this is going to be a pretty shallow or weak draft, and lots of teams might just deal away their picks.  But that Fredette guy from BYU looks like he's perfect for Utah.  The Jazz need a scoring guard too.

is Fredette white?

he's a shoo in for utah then. ;D

Exactly true. They need protection from themselves.

http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/6649101/dizzying-highs-terrifying-lows

You know how I know this? Because the players made $2.1 billion dollars this year … and again the owners lost $300 million. Hold on, I have their $300 million right here: Vince Carter ($17.5m), Richard Hamilton ($12.5m), Baron Davis ($13m), Jose Calderon ($9m), Gilbert Arenas ($17.7m), Rashard Lewis ($19.6m), Michael Redd ($18.3m), Matt Carroll ($4.3m), Mike Dunleavy ($10.6m), Jason Kapono ($6.6m), Andrei Kirilenko ($17.8m), Marvin Williams ($7.2m), Jared Jeffries ($6.8m), Vlad Radmanovic ($6.8m), Hedo Turkoglu ($10.2m), Boris Diaw ($9m), Marcus Banks ($4.8m), Joel Pryzbilla ($7.4m), TJ Ford (8.5m), Darius Songalia ($4.8m), Andris Biedrins ($9m), Yao Ming ($17.7m), Sam Dalembert ($13.4m), Memo Okur ($9.9m), DeSagana Diop ($6.4m), Jermaine O'Neal ($5.7m), Eddy Curry ($11.2m), Dan Gadzuric ($7.2m), Troy Murphy ($11.9m).

Problem solved.  :)

Maybe. I'm guessing these are 2011 figures. Bottomline it means don't overpay for these types of players.

Do they have the moolah? I don't know if Dalembert (29 years young) will accept a minimum salary or Dalembert's current team (Sacramento, right?) will accept a sign-and-trade? Wala naman atang mga players (beyond the Big 3) na tatanggapin ng Sacramento. Usually, mga laos/pa-retiro na free agents ang tatanggap ng minimum salary, basta magkaroon lang ng Horcrux, este, Championship Ring. ;D

If the CBA remains the same, Miami can use their MLE.  That is if Dalembert accepts it.

Dalembert has already expressed his interest in the Miami Heat since he usually joins the team in relief efforts in earthquake stricken Haiti. he doesn't mind the pay cut what's important for him is he joins a team that can contend for the championship. Miami certainly meets two of Dalembert's criteria which according to him: “I want to play for a team that can win a championship. And a team that can run the fast break. Miami has a good one.”

Chalmers at point
Wade at off Guard
Bosh at small Forward
Haslem at power Forward
Howard at CENTER

Miller, Jones, Bibby, Anthony off the bench.

That will be an excellent line up for the Heat.

If this will ever happen....you put Bosh at PF, di sya SF.  Either Miller or Jones play the 3, and Haslem is the first big man off the bench.

Wont happen though...as much as  Lebron has shrinked in the Finals....they wont trade him.   Pwedi pa si Bosh.   What they need is someone in the mold of Tyson Chandler.....someone who will not look for shots, aggressive, shotblocking, rebounding Center.  Nothing in the mold of Ilgaukas, not Dampier...not Magloire.

Problem of Heat is their salary cap is top loaded, so they wont have much leeway in signing free agents.....and it all depends on the new CBA.

--------------------------

Heat nearly won on their first try though so I surmise they will stay put and just do some minor tweaks on the roster.    Chicago will improve through experience, and New York might be relevant again.  Boston cant be discounted too, so its no automatic berth for the Heat for a Finals return.   They'll be seeded first though at the start of the season....

i think what the heat lacks in the championship series is a very competent point guard. taking aside the marvels of dirk, terry lbj, bosh and wade, the mavs got huge advantage in the PG side. the team is well orchestrated and does not panic easily as the ball movement rhough either barea or kidd is seamless

with the heat, when lbj oir wade brings down the ball, options become limited, while lbj opted to pass all the time, this is not the kind of passing you want to see in a game certainly not passing for better offense fluidity. maybe changes in the line up is not that necessarry yet as thye have gone to the finals anyway, perhaps having a true point guard would be a good action plan, if only mike bibby can be as good as when he was with sacramento or if they decide to have chalmers as the starting guard in the coming season

Thats also fine putting Bosh at power forward but since he's quite athletic and has a good shooting touch, he'll be better at small forward and let Haslem the power forward slot for hassle and defensive purposes. Thats only if Miami can have Howard to man the CENTER slot.

If Riley can trade LBJ for HOWARD, i'll bet on Miami next season.

We all know its close to impossible he he. . .but with WADE and BOSH on my team, I'll give up LBJ for a HOWARD playing at his prime.

Problem is....he got burned by a slower Nowitzki so many times at the Finals....how can he guard opposing SFs, who are fast and more agile than he is......believe me, any coach in the NBA wont play Bosh at the 3.

And I see that lineup....if Im the opposing coach.......all ill do is pack the paint, cover the painted area and the midrange.    With a legitimate SF who can shoot the 3 (Miller or Jones), defenders will play up to the 3pt area, spacing will be much better, more room to operate for Bosh and Howard.  Bosh at the SF just doesnt make sense....especially in today's small ball era.

Sorry but i just dont see it....especially since Bosh had played much of his career playing the 4, and even 5 in some instances.  But at the 3 spot?.....no.

sa west ganun din. expect a few shakes a mavs lineup to give one more ring for the tanders. it remains to be seen what future lies ahead for the mikebrown/kobe tandem in LA.

waitnsee first if there will be a next season.
