Episode 4 was heartbreaking. 

You can say that again. I started season 5 without reading any spoilers and no idea about what's supposed to happen. Good, but also bad. Still recovering

Two things I learned after watching the last episode of Fringe before the 2-hour finale next week:

- September has an extensive CD collection.

- Jazz has the power to move even the coldest, unfeeling Observer. 

I'm really gonna miss this show when it ends...

This will be Bitter-Sweet for me... after 5 years of religously following each episode.
Hope there will be another tv series like this and the X-Files in the near future.

It meant that he knew Olivia retained her Cortexiphan super-abilities after rescuing him.

the finale felt underwhelming to me.  then again, i've always said i never liked the direction s5 took.  still, its a shame to see it bow out.

I felt that too.  But the tear jerker moment between Peter and Walter made it up for me. Likewise the one between Walter and Astrid.
