2017 has been great for us!!! Finally upgraded my 55" Myview LED to a branded one... a SAMSUNG 4k tv.

Since my old posts consists of Phobucket pictures, inupdate ko na lang with latest picture of my HT setup.

My current setup

Uy ayan na! nag post na! Ganda ng TV mo bro.
Sa tingin ko, kapag sinimulan kana ng mga mang kukulam dito eh hindi masusunod ang schedule mo sa pag upgrade ng AVR...bago pa mag end ng 2011 eh mag a-upgrade kana! hehehehe....

Nice Setup!

Congrats!..

I think it will sound & look better if you put the L/R speakers on same level of the center speaker. Just tilt them up a bit to direct the sound to your ear level...

sir, lahat ng mga bagay na meron tau, nangaling din sa umpisa......i have one friend who told me before,baket ka magpost sa pdvd, ang gaganda ng mga gamit nila dun.balewala gamit mo.i told him, nde q makikipagkumpetensya...i just want to share what ever i have so they could help me upgrade, give me comments positive man or negative...
just take it one at a time, mageenjoy ka din someday sa mga efforts na gagawin mo,nagawa mo and gagawin pa in the future.

ganun din dati ung fronts q, bitin sa tweeter kaya q naglagay ng extra. and i admit, it gives a hissing sound,talagang makalantsing...

Yes Sir, di ako nakapag upgrade ng HT setup...malaki ang idagdag ko e.

Kaya my wife & I decided na magandang rack na lang at yung nabanggit mo na NMT, na-try ko ok pala and medyo mabawasan na muna bili ko ng bluray movies hehe.

Musta yung mix-amp at speaker Sir?

Start na po yung bar nila?

ok na rin yan sir, maganda yang NMT....kumpleto na rin kasi pwedeng music tsaka movies pwede rin sa mga pictures hehe, mahirap lang magdownload ng movies kung preferred mo yung mga HD qualities, malalaki kasi yung files.

so far ok naman yung mix-amp and speakers, satisfied na satisfied yung cousin ko, alam ko under construction na yung resto bar nila, we'll let you know sir kung open na para makapunta ka hehe.

I need some suggestions po

Im planning to upgrade my HT setup, BUT I'm on a tight budget of 25,000 pesos, and mga December pa ako magkakapera. So need some inputs para alam ko kung saan aabot ang budget ko if possible akong mag upgrade or not.

Eto po usage ko 50% music (dami kong cd's sa house) & 50% movies/concert (bluray/dvd & NMT)

Kasi po kung di aabot yung budget ko, baka mag avail na lang muna ako ng Hi-fi mini component for my music needs, and keep ko muna yung HTiB kong Samsung for movie's

option A) I saw Sir Rico Mambo's Onkyo's HT-S300 (7.1 HTiB) set for 24,000 pesos.
   - is this good for playing a 2 channel music?
   - will the bass of the music rely mainly on the sub? Or the fronts will help also in driving bass sounds?

option B) SnS' Onkyo S3400 (5.1 HTib) brandnew at 25,000 pesos.
   - same question as stated above

option C) Also I saw Electrohaus' Onkyo 605 or 606 receiver @ 13k/14k

So what do you suggest's I take po if ever?

The Onkyo's HTiB or the Onkyo's receiver + speakers (what brands compliments it?)

lowest priced surround & center I saw was Wharfedale's WH2 @3,800 php c/o SnS

So I need pa 1 set of surrounds & a floor stander/bookshelf spkr for fronts and an active sub.

Will my 25 thou be sufficient for an upgrade?

Pustahan tayo sir, lalagpas ka sa budget?! ako budget ko for my recent upgrade SG$2000 lang...pero umabot ako ng 2.8k!

Di naman ako expert, sakin lang, with your current setup, na experience mo na mag HTIB, so if I were you, subukan mo na bumili ng separates..kahit entry level na amp lang muna, tapos kung wla ka pang budget for speakers, gamitin mo muna ung sa HTIB mo

Sir ok yung onkyo 606, ipon ipon muna...malaki talaga difference kung yung mga separates ang mabibili mo. bantay bantay ka lang sa marketplace at makakakuha ka ng good deal, kung minsan very good pa. kahit entry level lang, with your place....nakow..sigurado masa-satisfied ka sir. try to get an AVR muna at fronts then ipon muna ng konti uli para sa center then sub tapos surround! (maraming magagandang pre-owned sa marketplace). tapos.....YAHOOOOO!! ang sarap nang manood lalo hehe

just like what other would say if limited budget, buy first the most important components your present budget can afford, like a decent amp, sub, and a pair of speakers for a 2.1 setup. i'm sure another budget will come along for you to complete the system. mas fulfilling yun sa end pagnabuo mo yung setup na di mo tinipid, kahit paunti unti.

Ano po mas ok yung Onkyo 606 ni electrohaus @ 14k or yung Onkyo SR580 @ 15.5k ni rico mambo?

And what entry level fronts ang pwede ko muna pantawid sa Onkyo? Na good for listening music...pero mga 10k lang sana...mayron kaya?

Can I use my Samsung center & surround speakers ng HTiB ko pansamantala? Di kaya masira yun?

if limited budget po kayo, try a 2nd hand avr like electrohauz and sir nogie's avr.. nakita ko lang sa market place.. madami po kayo pagpipilian.. good luck..

Kakainip na, still torn kung ano bibilhin ko

Balak ko sana Onkyo 606 + Wharfedale diamond 10 set

Pero bka mauwi na naman ako sa HTiB (Onkyo S3400) because of budget

...then I'll just upgrade the fronts to a floorstander next year

Tagal kasi ng 13th month at bonus e!!

Receiver ka muna sir like what i did, then use mo muna temporarily yun mga small speakers mo till maka kuha ka ng good deals for your floorstanders sir para d ka magsisi sa dulo

Set to small mo nalang muna yun sa crossover ng receiver if ever gamitin mo mga small speakers

If you want a budget sub na malakas, go DIY sir.. Look for marcopilyo nalang.. Surely you wont regret it for the price.. Tapos if budget permits, try a-audio speaker sets din.. Para enjoy mo na ang movies mo

naka HTIB ka sa ngayon 'tas HTIB ulit?...

IMHO, 'di upgrade ang tawag dito, " change brand lang " . I suggest to get even entry receiver Onkyo 606 ayos na yan. my officemate has this model maganda performance both in music & movies. Sa speakers okay pa yang existing speakers mo, just set them to small, then yung extra amount mo get a decent sub (marami nyan dito sa B/S). Sa FS speakers can wait whn budget permits...
