para sa akin.malayo ang difference. i have both and i can compare. tried it on HD ready 32, Full HD LED and LCD na 40's. halos hindi mo din makita ang upscaling effect. same lang maski di upscaled.

Way way way different, the fact that BD players have better video chipset and can convert video in 24FPS which will provide almost real cinema experience.

If dvd lang po isasalang nyo sa bluray & sa dvd na hdmi (with upscaling), same quality po makukuha nyo.

Pero if bluray disc isasalang mo sa bluray player VS. dvd upscaled to 1080p...sobrang laki ng difference nila.  Hands down to BD players with BD materials.

This is not entirely true. Up-scaling functionality and quality of different BD/DVD upscaler are different. They provide different upscaling algorithm, chipset and scanning method.

I have Pioneer DVD HDMI, Extreme DVD HDMI, Samsung DVD HDMI HTIB and Samsung BD-D5100. When I played back DVDs in these player, the  Samsung BD-D5100 produces way way better picture quality compared to others. Next is Pioneer DVD HDMI player, then Extreme DVD HDMI and last is Samsung DVD HDMI HTIB.

Malinaw ang BD kumpara sa upscaled dvd - actually, night and day and difference.

Mas malinaw din ang MKV na true hd (720 and 1080p) kesa sa upsacled 1080p na dvd.

Dvd upscaled by a bdp compared sa dvd upsceld by a dvd na hdmi - Same PQ.

*tested on Sony Bravia 42 in led, Sony ps3 (BD and DVD), Sony upscaling dvd htib (1080p), egreat r6b, KING KONG BD, DVD, MKV.

DVD quality is as blurry as it could be,

Blu-ray quality even those ripped HD content is as clear as it could be even at far sightings.
