3d Movie on non-3d equipment
« on: Dec 28, 2011 at 08:43 AM »
Good day!

I thought for a while that 3d movie files will be useless to my non 3d capable plasma TV  and NMT. Last night i was checking on the files on my HD to be deleted and browsed upon the docu file Oceanworld in 3d. We have a 3d glass courtesy of Ariel detergent which we got from the grocery the other day. I experimented on using the 3d glass with the 3d file on my non-3d plasma tv and mind you it worked! It might not be as nice as what we can see in real 3d tv -- but the effect is good enough to appreciate the 3d illusion it brings. The documentary file has some portions that are stunningly good considering that i was only using the free 3d glass.

Try it guys and like me, i know you will like it. ;D

I am now asking my wife to secure more Ariel 3d glasses and even buy it if it is possible  ;D

I had some other movie files before on 3d - pero yung nga, kasi alam ko kahit anong gawin natin kung hindi 3d ang tv at NMT the 3d effect wll not be experienced, kaya binura ko na. I think we really have to try it and find it our for ourselves. ;)

ah it's Anaglyph 3D... definitely, you can watch it on non-3D tv even a PC monitor will do.

Believe thats not the same "3d" quality as those which were from "Blu-Ray 3D". Thats the old anaglyph 3d, even a red & blue cellophane would work with the effects.

Of course as i have said early on, we do not expect this as good as the one we can watch on true 3D tvs using 3D capable gadgets and equipment. ;D At least while we do not have yet the right gadgets, this will do for the time being or until i will gain the courage of suggesting to my wife that we have to upgrade na naman. hehehe!  ;D

I was using the kaiboer H1055 when I tried this. Without the glass, double image siya thats why i never watched it. I just tested the 3d glass that came with the Ariel detergent and voila!!  ;D

The LG 3dtv can play 3d files via USB. So If i connect the USB with 3d file on my non-3d capable NMT will the LG 3dtv play the 3d file?

how did you make the side-by-side or top and bottom display into ONE (blurry) display.

you can’t use this function with the egreat R6S when the display (monitor) is 2D.

The 3d file when played with my Measy NMT was actually with two layers and you hate it when viewed it as is, nakakahilo but with the Ariel 3d glass the layers somehow fused into one which i think gave the 3d effect.

I am contemplating on buying a 3dtv but i have nowhere to place my 50" plasma. It is for this reason why I am exploring 3d possibilities on my existing setup, particularly on how to maximize my plasma for 3d viewing. The egreat 3d converter being sold in sulit is interesting but i cant read reviews on it.

Using a stereoscopic viewer, you can play an SBS 3D file to your non 3D NMT and TV and view it in 3D.

I use a similar device. It diverges the left and right image into one and does not require power. I tested it with avatar sbs and I see similar depth as in Imax. Kaso kailangan hanapan ng best adjustment ng binoculars at kailangan hawakan yung viewer so pang view lang siya ng 3D clips and not suitable for 30 mins+ viewing.
